I was born in Los Angeles, moved to the UK when I was 2 years old and grew up in a small town about 20 miles north of London.

For the last 8 years or so I have been living in London, currently in the lovely borough of Hackney (recently voted the UK's worst, pah!).

Born in Baton Rouge, LA and have worked my way north via Shreveport and Little Rock and now live in Northwest Arkansas and this is as far north as I can stand! (Don't get your feathers ruffled, there's nothing wrong with the people further north, I just don't like the cold and I miss my gulf shrimp!)

@bdr: Hey there! I live in Tempe now, and am a Grad student at ASU. Mind if I ask why/how you ended up coming here for a bit? I'm mainly asking becasue my wife did a summer abroad thing in Athlone a few years ago, and we still get many of her Irish friends coming over for a visit. In fact, we have three chaps over here right now!

Cheers,

Isaac

Yes, AZ is a neat place. Had an office there circe 1995 - 1999 and visted many times. Just did go back on vacation last october and it it much changed since 1999. Mill Ave was a favrotie place. Much more built up. Sedona as well. My office was in Mesa - some of my old crew still there.

Yo, "Tweed". Bay Area Harp group at: sfbayharpers@yahoogroups.com

Quarterly jam get-together at Armando's in Martinez.

Sauzalito, eh? If you happen to be down by the docks behind the "Bay Model", go by the vessel "White Holly". She's a old USCG buoy-tender now converted to a research vessel. If she's sitting in port at the dock and you see activity, drop by and ask for Capt. Vince. He plays a bit of guitar and appreciates the blues. Tell him his favorite deepsea diver sent you.

Born in NZ, moved to Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia when it was still a wild frontier town with spears flying, buffalo charging and crocs biting (1971), then to Maroochydore Queensland... about 15 ks from Aussiesucker.

A year ago me and a few musos started an organisation called G-Dogs, which now has 90 member bands and singers and is leading the war against the music killers... who are our state liquor licencing inspectors who close venues down if you play louder than 65 decibels, or fine you if you smoke a cigarette within 8 inches of an imaginary barrier line.

Our members are from Byron Bay (the blues capital), to Gympie and even one from California. If any of you want to be on our e-mail list, you are welcome. This is about to become a global war to protect music. Keep your harp dry and your gat tuned.

Grew up in Pacific NW, USA. Watched Mt. St. Helens erupt from my front yard - later bicycled in several inches of ash, got ash in my eye, and landed face first in a rock garden - this gave me beautiful teeth.

Me and my teeth lived in Seattle during the birth of grunge, and went to many excellent shows. Then me, the teeth, and the wife went to Columbus, OH for graduate school. Then me, the teeth, the wife, and the child moved to Portland, OR.

Now me, the teeth, the wife, and the two children live just west of Portland and LOVE it here. But don't move to Portland, it rains here all the time. You'd hate it. :)

Before I was born I was an Intergallatic Starship Captain. As you can imagine you didn't get alot of time off and it had its faults.

Arrived on Earth North of England UK to start life as we know it.
For those who don't know (|The North of England is perceived be many to be similar to South of USA)Well thats my interpretation anyway.

A lot of travelling around the world living various places. Spent time North and South USA

Settled London, and South coast UK until the calling back North 90s.

I was born some 52 years ago on the mediterranean coastline south of France. Rambled quite a lot accross the planet, first as a teenager, then for my job(oil-industry). So that's been Cote d'Ivoire (Abidjan), Mozambique (Lourenço Marques), Canada (Calgary), Congo (Pointe Noire), Norway (Stavanger), Scotland (Aberdeen), England (London), Scotland again (Inverness), Angola (Luanda). Right now I'm in France (Biarritz), but I am to relocate to Scotland (Aberdeen again) early June, where I should stay for about 3 years.
That's a lot of moving, but I love it, and that's why I picked up the harp and not the double-bass or the tuba. A lot easier to travel with the harps!

Born in Wellington, New Zealand, before shifting to London ten years back.

Started learning the harmonica twenty years ago, and been playing music semi-professionally for fifteen, although as I'm more of a singer the harp-playing isn't of a particularly high standard - I'd barely scrape into "Intermediate" going by the "What Level Are You?" guide. All very humbling, but Adam's lessons has made me work on my playing more than anytime I can recall over the past fifteen years.

Currently playing in a (quite bluesy) covers band, an alt-country/blues project, and go to the occasional blues jam.

Born in San Francisco. Lived in the area all my life though work allowed me to travel all over. Grew up and lived on "The Peninsula" - a multi-city stretch of suburbia south of San Francisco, in towns named San Mateo, Hillsborough and Belmont. Now I live near Geyserville, CA - a tiny town in the Sonoma County Wine Country, about 75 miles north of San Francisco.
