Below is a list of forum members who expressed a desire to Blow Their Brains Out. No doubt a few will not be able to pull the trigger due to various commitments but it’s early days. A lot of our forum members are not aware of this yet so the numbers may well increase once the news gets around. Jump in anytime if you want to take part.
If you want to read the previous threads to know what was discussed I list them here using the actual thread title which you may have seen before. Sometimes it’s good to read how the whole thing evolved and why certain decisions were made.
Here is a link to the site where the videos will be listed plus there is more information should you need it. Blow Your Brains Out! 2
It would be great to get more of the blues harmonica playing community involved so if you belong to any other forums where you think others may want to join in please point them either to the Modern Blues Harp forum or to the ‘Blow Your Brains Out! 2’ site and we could make this into a cyber harp event to be proud of.
Most of the behind-the-scenes work has been done. It’s just a case of ensuring the enthusiasm doesn’t die and getting into that woodshed and performance frame of mind. We have fifty days before the submission deadline but if anyone has any ideas to tweak/improve or publicise this event, please let me know.
And so you did oldwailer, I just took another look and you registered your interest in the rules thread and I took the names from the first ****Do not read this post.***** thread. Sorry about that. I've added you to the top of the list. Apologies. ----------
Hey- just joined a few days ago. Is it too late to sign up for this? Read the earlier threads and it sounds cool... and maybe I'll get some feedback. Thanks guys.
imma go ahead and call it, make it official by saying that i only have the first and last licks of the vid below, but im gonna throw down, grind it out till november whatever, put it all in the oven and add a lil stank on it, right before serving y'all up with a dose of Kyzer's Broadway for BYBO...
That's great tooka. I think the most people we ever had take part in our previous challenges was 15. I suppose the more we have, the more brutal - out of necessity - the judging will be. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but you can only spend so long listening to stuff to arrive at a decision. ---------- YouTube SlimHarpMick
Well, if we allow say 2 weeks for voting and listen to 3 or 4 each day, that's no hardship. To be blunt, if a video doesn't grab me in the first thirty seconds, I'll be clicking onto the next one. I think a lot will do the same. ----------

I've been struck down with a bad cold. Bunged up, half deaf, sore throat, cough, tired, miserable. I can't practice plus I changed what I wanted to play. Oh dear. Time is getting short. ----------
I think we need brackets a la Final Four for the NOD vs TNF showdown-who wants to go up against the winner? Let the smack-talking begin. Wait-it already did. Let the smack-talking resume. ----------
