O.K. This is the official Kick Off for the 'Blow Your Brains Out!2' Harp Challenge.
I've set the submission deadline for November 21st so that should give you plenty of time to do your thing. If the majority want to either bring it forward or back, let me know. There's time for adjustments at this stage.
We've already run through a lot of the stuff on the forum but there are bound to be a few hiccups along the way so bear with me.
For information on what you need to do just click this link for the new Blow Your Brains Out! website. That should explain everything.
Please direct all concerns and comments back to this thread.
Good Luck everyone because you're gonna need it. I can feel my lips puckering up already. YeeHaa!

Excellent job, tooka.
One of the 'problems that may raise its ugly head' - to paraphrase your site - is the page loading issue we had last time; that will be the same on your site as it was on this one the last time around.
You may remember that in the challenge before the last one, we simply embedded a playlist, and that worked fine. Perhaps that will be the way to go.
Many thanks for what you've done. It's top drawer. ---------- YouTube SlimHarpMick

I'm hoping that will not happen due to the site and YouTube are both Google and are well integrated. I think the problem was mainly due to the forum structure but if it does start to play up, I'll just list all the URL's so that each video will open a new YouTube window. That's all that the playlist does anyway.
Fingers crossed. We should get it right by BYBO4.

I'm 99% sure that that won't make any difference: it's not a network problem; rather, it's what I was talking about yesterday with regard to browsers, RAM, and what have you.
Anyway, as you say, 'fingers crossed'. ---------- YouTube SlimHarpMick

Like I said, " I'll just list all the URL's so that each video will open a new YouTube window".

Thanks Ant138.
As time goes by I'll add to the site to make it more useful for the event. I'll add some extra links to free jam tracks etc. and there are some other ideas I have too when I get the time.

I've made some changes to the Blow Your Brains Out! site to make it more useful. If anyone gets a chance to check it out I'd appreciate it. I've added some handy links and things.

Tooka, I just had a look see and it looks REALLY great. I check all your links, and they work for me (Using Firefox). You've put up A LOT of very useful links and tips. This *should* help everything run a lot more smoothly. Also, it may be easy enough to just limit YT embeds to 10 per page, and then make links to all the pages with videos on the sidebar during the voting period. Of course, a header in large bolded type that says that there are MULTIPLE pages with videos will help ensure that all videos are viewed. Or, as you say, you can always make them be just links to view on youtube one at a time. However you think is best!
GREAT job on this! I really appreciate your work!
Cheers,
