that baby might sound something like this guy!

His name is Lars Ringgaard and is from Denmark. He sent me a friend request on YouTube, and I gave him a listen. Man was I surprised when I heard him! I was like "oh! There's a bit of Adam style!", and then I was like "Oh no! There's a bit of Chris too!!!". It's pretty cool to hear a guy who is somehow channeling a little bit of my two harp Sensei's.... I Lars sounds great, and he sounds familiar yet unique.... It's a pretty cool sound he's got going there, and I thought y'all might like to hear it!

His sound reminds me alot of Corky Siegel. I was slightly obsessed with this clip when I first picked up the harp years ago..

He'd bite himself in the foot.

Lars Ringgaard is the guy who set up the gig and clinic for me that I was forced to cancel at the last minute due to my wife's passport troubles. (The failed trip to Copenhagen.) I agree with Isaac: I like Lars's style a lot and heard, at least in one video, a definite resonance between his funky approach and mine. I'll have to check out those other videos.

I like it; all his beatbox sounds seem to be coming from his throat though. He doesn't seem to be projecting them through the harp. I think some of the coolest beatbox noises you can get come from projecting those noises through the harp. Of course, that's easier with separate tracks since you can focus one track on those noises and one on the harp melody.

Hey Isaacullah, Glad to see you're still here.
Thanks for posting this. He's quite fluid to my ears. I like the changes and the groove especially in the funky stuff. You're right I hear a lot of Adam's stuff in there.

Does he play band or one-man acts? or is he an internet artist?

Hey Xharp! I'm not sure how he plays out. The info on his YT channel suggests that he plays with lot's of well recognized Danish musicians.... Not sure if he does the one man band thing though....

And for the record, I certainly here more of Doc G in his playing than of Buddha. But every once in a while I hear a Buddha-esque run and/or some Buddha-esque tone and nimbleness. Of course he's got a fair dose of his own style in there too... All in all, he's quite enjoyable to listen to...

Well they'd make a blue combed key of D Buddha harp of course and they'd drop it in my mail box!! YYYYYeeeeef&^*%in' Hawwww doggies!

What a machine. Rich tone, resonant, OB's just fall out all over. (Way easier than the B-rad, but it has it's place as well. This is just a superior instrument.)

Didn't get a whole lot of work done this afternoon (but that may also be 'cause I'm scrambling to get everybody fed so I can hit the PNE for Cyndi Lauper and if the stars are aligned correctly Charlie Musselwhite will be stage left! Sweet! And I get free tickets! Double sweet!!)
Good things come in bunches. I even got my computer program to work! Triple sweet! (I'll stop there. :)

Now if Ican only read this captcha. :(

hey ... a little fun and a little strange to find a forum where they are discussed. But now I have become a member and can participate on an equal footing with you. I understand that you have blah. have discussed who I sound ass.
Okay, I know, of course, Adam has also had the honor to play with him - and clearly he has his own staff right style and it's just fantastic.
The other boys in the denominator, I know not - that has seen a video with brandon bailey.
I've been going to play for many years and has obviously had many harp player as I've listened to and admired.
I think that I am the last several years has maintained the same rhythmic and melodic input and love and feel it is my style - but clearly I have listen to many - what we all have.
But must say that it inspired me to come up with some suggestions on how harmonica sounds from my point of view.

I'm delighted that my Danish friend, Lars Ringaard, is now a member of this forum. We're lucky, everybody! Lars hosted me at a blues club in Copenhagen last Christmastime when I went over to Europe. He's a good man and a great player, and I will personally testify that he does NOT owe his great abilities as a player to me. I will agree, though, that he and I come at the blues from a similarly funky perspective--one that made me sit up in my chair when I first came across his YouTube videos. I said, "Now THAT guy is doing something interesting."

Welcome aboard, Lars! (I mean, Ringo!)

Hello Adam and thank you for your kind words - it is really an interesting forum and would be pleased if I can pass something on.
Yes we both have a great rhythmic approach to the music , I have obviously listened to Satan and Adam - as many have noticed.
But I've listened to many of these years and where things come from I do not know by now.
I will eventually post when I think I have something exciting going on.
My band beat and stomp, have planned to go into the studio around Febuar.
I mix stomp, jew harp, foot beat and throw it further into the loop pedal - yes, also, of course, singing and guitar.
Adam drop bye mojo tonight - it could be really nice to play with you again

Wow really great! Did that throat beatboxing too while practicing already but just for fun. I like that stuff and I can hear also quite a bit Carlos del Junco e.g. with those ghost notes. Really unique style.

Well i'm loving the Kuddah! he he!, and Issac got it spot on because this guy really does invoke both Adam and Chris, he even looks a bit like Buddah with the hair and the forearms, it's a bit spooky but in a good way.
Great talent and great tecnique on display here.
