Boris, that was very nice jazzy playing! I'd never heard jazz beatboxing before! I quite liked it... Was that you doing the beatbox (ie. you laid the beat track first and then played over it), or did you have another person do it live while you were playing? ---------- ------------------ The magnificent YouTube channel of the internet user known as "isaacullah"
Thanks guys for kind words! It's another person Alexander beatboxes. I can beatbox a little myself, but rare try it live, as I need master it. BTW, it's great skill you can practice when you can't play harmonica. ---------- http://myspace.com/harmonicaboris

What I love about this clip is the VOCALS. It has strong harmonica and strong vocals. The stage presence and confidence in delivering the song from all angles really impressed me too.
I am a sucker for a harp player that can sing. That doesn't mean they have to have huge vocal chops, but they have to be able to nail their style. I also think that helps take the music to the masses.
I have a huge amount of respect for those that are able to hold the crowd a set or more with their harmonica as the focus. As a harp player, it is easy for me to get into...but if you can hold my attention when not playing, I am much more likely to become a fan-fan.
I agree with HarpNinja. Zhin's playing is great, but the vocals really make the performance. The alteration of the backing tdack worked really well and the switching of the mic worked actually for the performance. Good effect for the vox too..
