Andrew, what does the French tuner do? it looks like
you can check all octaves on a blow plate. I made a device to do just that out of two Hetrick tuning caps and a tongue depressor. One was cracked but I taped it back up even though a piece went missing in the mail.

Hi Mark! Here is an explanation and demo for the French Tuner:
You can do more with it, too. It's dead flat so you can shine a keychain light through the tip and help you pinpoint blow plate air leaks. (You have to be able to measure something in order to fix it!)

Fender Bassman Reissue 1990!
So i want to sell this Reissue Fender Bassman. Its an absolute tone beast, but it is just too big for me at the moment.
This is NOT the LTD model, it is the original reissue and is from the first year that these were being made, which is 1990. This comes with three 12AX7 preamp tubes, two 6L6 power tubes, and a GZ34/5AR4 Rectifier tube. This amp plays beautifully and has been serviced recently. It features 3 blue emi speakers, and a jensen. I also have extra tubes. I changed the jewel to a bluish white one, but i still have the original red amp jewel (if you want it). I also changed the amp knobs (the original ones were just ugly to me). If you would like more pictures then feel free to ask.
I am asking $900 with all of the tubes, and im willing to help out a fellow harp player if they are a serious inquirer. This is a real deal!

I have two mics I'm willing to sell to members here for a discount.
First one is a Ruskin custom, chrome, built into a motorcycle tail light shell, very light and shiny! Excellent crystal element and the correct volume pot, I have had this for about 13 years. Clean and clear, excellent through a Bassman.
Second up is a 707a shell housing a hot cm element. No volume pot on this but it has a custom flame job and a vintage tweed cable hard wired in. Very dirty sweet tone here. I've owned this one for about 12 years.
I plan to post on fleabay for $150 each. For a member here I can knock $50 off each, buyer pays shipping.

Okay, time to let some harps go.
Hohner:
Echo in C, used in good shape
Comet in c, used, in good shape
Chromonica 270 in C, slight use, very good
Sp20 in B, good
I have a Suzuki Overdrive in D, barely used, excellent
Bushman Free Jazz Chromatic in C. great shape. Actually it's a Suzuki chromatic that a harp seller who shall remain nameless put new covers on.
Delta Frost in Db, very good
Full size slim line brown brief case, 1 blemish on cover, unique harp case project.
I have a Ruskin Chrome mic, JT30 element, correct vc, as described in above post, steal it at $100. Excellent mic for swing/jazz,clean but sweet sound, will break up with good attack.
All of the above harps, and the case, I am taking offers and you pay shipping. I'm very amenable to deals here, I want this stuff to do someone some good.
We are minimizing at the house here, and some of these items have been languishing for a long time, but all harps play as described.

Nice Hohner Auto Valve in (Bb)
Unfortunately, Hohner has stopped making them.
This one is completely rebuilt and the comb is sanded/sealed.
Rebuilt with stainless steel screws and a center post to brace the covers.
Standard tuning but Paddy, Country, or Melody Maker are possible for $10 extra. $90 + shipping

Hey, I have a couple of NOS Special 20s in G that I have retuned. These harps have reed plates attached with nails--remember those?
I tuned them without disassembling them--one is Country tuned (draw 5 and 9 raised to C#) and the other is now a D Melody Maker (draw 5 and 9 raised to C#, blow 3 raised a whole step).
No other mods were done--hard to do much when you can't take 'em apart!
$20+5 each, $45 for the pair shipped in the US.
I have so many more harmonicas, I should sell some--buy these to motivate me LOL

Also, I am running a Summer Sale on my CNC Milled Special 20 Combs. They normally retail for $29.95 each. The sale price has been reduced to $17.95 each. They are included in an eBay listing for all my combs that I have had up for a while. The prices have been adjusted for the Special 20 combs and the inventory numbers are up to date. I have 46 Special 20 combs available: 21 Aluminum, 6 Hogany and 19 Solid Surface.
Generally speaking, the combs that I make are a little longer and wider than the stock combs. The extra material on the back of the comb makes them a little more structurally solid plus it shields your hands from the edges of the reed plates. That being so, these Special 20 plates can be used with Marine Band reed plates. The MB plates are a tiny bit longer than the comb so you will need to file or sand the edge of the reed plates for a perfect fit. But that is easily done if you are handy.

Use this simple tuning method: How to tune a harmonica
Use the Frech Tuner to accurately tune the blow plate off the comb. Assemble the harp and tune the draw reeds (the draw reeds are exposed so you don't need fancy equipment to tune the draw plate).
