It's time for me to reluctantly part with my treasured 1970s era SilverFace Princeton amplifier. Yes, this is the one that Big Walter Horton was often photographed with. It was his favorite amp and that is why I invested in it.
This classic amp is built like a little tank so it weighs 35 lb. My poor old back just can't deal with it any more and an RP with Richard's patches is looking more and more appealing daily. That is the ~only~ reason I would part with this killer little harmonica amplifier.
A few particulars:
I purchased the amp in 2002 and had it "blueprinted" (brought to original factory specifications, replacing any damaged or worn parts) by "Lord Valve" a famous Denver amp tech at the time. He installed new caps and other technical innards that I can't name as needed. He also installed new hand-picked NOS vacuum tubes and replaced the original 10" Oxford speaker with a new Jensen P10Q. I retained the old speaker, which is in fine working condition in case I (or someone else) should ever decide to return the amp to its original condition (I didn't want to damage or put wear on the original speaker).
The amp absolutely SCREAMS now! I sometimes think it will actually levitate off the floor when I really drive it. I've had jam leaders stop mid-song to find out what amp was making ~that~ sound. [Important note: this is ~not~ a Princeton Reverb amp, but neither was Shakey's.]
I'm offering the amplifier at $750 plus shipping and insurance. My HarpBuddy Rick Davis (Memphis Amplifiers) has kindly offered to professionally pack and ship it from his location in Denver.

They make a heat transfer material that can be cut in the vinyl cutter just like the stickers, so I think I'm going to get some and try it out. Selling off some gear, taking a break for a while. First up is my Shure Grey bullet. It features an early 60's shell and late 60's or early 70's Shure element. Perfect working condition with adaptor. Great mic. $195 shipped.
Second is my modded Epiphone Valve Jr amp. This has been professionally modded for blues harp by the good folks at the Lone Wolf Blues Company, they really know how to make these amps cook for harp. Modifications include: board mod to make amp more harp friendly and reduce feedback, Weber 4ohm speaker, matched set of tubes, tone knob added by Lone Wolf. Vintage Shure 520 with Original Box and Packing. Even has the price tag.
CM element and screw on connector both provided and installed by Greg Heumann when we harvested the CR for my custom mic.
Sounds exactly like a true vintage CM should.
Shell shows the use I gave it over 20+ years. Paint is mostly gone but actually looks very cool for it. There is no corrosion and the grill is just about perfect. The metal label looks a little unusual to me. Much darker and the lettering seems to be applied differently compared to the normal bright green. I think it may have been black but in any event appears to be quite early, though I'm no expert.
Basically a well sorted fine vintage mic. $245 including shipping within CONUS.

Hey guys.. been a long time since I have been here.. I stopped in to see if anyone might be interested in some of the equipment im selling.. I would be keeping these but I am trying to get my knife shop up and running.. the mic is an ultimate 57.. seriously may have used it for an hour.. same with the amp.. I never used em like I thought I would..

Shure Grill Screws. Two for $5 shipped. "Ridiculous! Outrageous!", you say. I agree, but it's way cheaper than what I paid for the dozen, of which I only needed two. I'm giving the screws away, I'm just charging for my time, which like Gatemouth Brown says, is expensive.

Montgomery Ward amp 25JDR8424 Standard. a 6x5gt, 2 6v6gt, and 2 6sjt tubes. The speaker is a 10" speaker, a jensen replacement, and the date code on the original speaker indicates a 1958 manufacture, though the amp shows up in early 50's catalogs. I am told this is a DanElectro
the amp has been re-capped and works well, but there is corrosion on the board. The tone knobs function more as a gain, I think the wiring there is not stock anymore. good distorted chicago sound on this little amp.

I have an 1847 harp that was worked on by Joe Spiers that I purchased from him quite awhile back. The harp plays amazingly, and it overblows incredibly well, and the overblows bend very nicely.
It's in the key of A and has a Chris Reynolds comb on it. It's had very little use from me just because I have never fully adjusted to the feel of steel reeds, and since I have a couple of other custom A harps, I very rarely even touched it (which is why I've finally decided to sell it).
It currently has full length covers on it, but if you would prefer the original 1847 covers, I can put those on instead.

This is an overblow/overdraw harp for the serious OB/OD player.
Set to 441 ET it is a re-tuned (C) harp that I dropped down to (Bb)
Extremely responsive. OB/OD w/ease on 4-6 with no choking. ODs comb easy.
It is on a Blue Moon Harmonicas custom comb

Hi all.
I have a 1958 Gibson GA40 for sale.
Minus a few caps and resistors in the Trem circuit, all original guts/trannies.
Original cab BUT it has been recovered. Excellent job in my opinion and considering you cannot find Gibson Tweed any more or the faux alligator,as good as it gets.
There is a Weber 12A125-30 in there now BUT I also have a late 50's P12Q. Your choice on speaker.
It is an exceptional sounding amp.
