Okay, I think I've solved the playback problems. It depends on what kind of file you are using. You'll have to use different code for different file types, but you can still basically cut and paste.
Note that to make .wav players play in more browsers you have to enter the url into the code twice. This is so if the first method doesn't work the browser will default and check the second one to see if that works (and it should). I've only tested this with Dropbox so far, but it should work for other hosting services as well.
AussieSucker- click on your sound track in the drop box folder. When you do, there should be a blank page with the little play bar in the center. Copy the web address and use the text Nacoran listed at the top of the page for WAV format.
You'll replace the center part starting at http and ending at .WAV with the web address
Good luck it took me a half hour to figure it out.
First audio up on the forum. This was the second take- using a Low D and D harp. Excuse the crappy laptop mic but it's all I have lol. 30 seconds is short!
@Swezey8: Great stuff! I take you were switching between the low D harp for the vamp, and playing the fills on the regular D? Playing a low-normal combo of harps, both in second, is quite an interesting thing to do! I've done it while looping, but I'm not sure if I've heard too many other people do it at the same time like you did! I liked the second clip too! cool interpretation of that riff. ---------- == I S A A C ==
Thanks tooka and isaac! I hadn't posted anything on the forum after being here for about 8 months so I figured it was worth a shot. Been playing about 3 years or so, with a couple breaks in there. Yeah- I used a Low D for the vamp and reg D for the fills. Both in 2nd and switched on the fly between. I actually have been working on (and almost got) that Superstition arrangement so maybe I'll post it when I'm done. That lick has just been stuck in my head lately lol.
I heard a Filisko track where he plays a blues incredibly softly so I'm messing around with that idea here. Of course, he can still get a huge vibrato on the bent 3 draw, which I can't, so I've cheated by playing with a mug cupped over the harp to get a vibrato-like effect on the 3 draw bend.
short little train riff. I was sitting down and ran out of breath near the end- you can hear a quick gasp for air lol.
Good stuff jodan! I'll have to mess with playing with a mug like that. I think Ronnie Shellist has a vid up where he's using one for a similar effect if I'm remembering right.
