Wull.. I've been lurking here for a month or so, and chipped in a little. I'm a refugee from BigRoadBlues. I've been playin' harp for about 45 years, and am definitely not a modern harper. I've jammed with the same bunch of guys for about 15 years, and we only gig about 5-6 times/yr. I play through either my 5-watt Epi Valve Special, or a Peavey Classic 30 (down-tubed) for louder club gigs. I've appreciated the more aggressive playing attitudes of some of the guys here.. especially since I cut my teeth on acoustic country blues back in the 60's.

hey hey, welcome to the forum! Where you from? You came to the right place, for all your one stop shopping harp items and info. I live in Honolulu, Hawaii. I have been playing for over 15 yrs. I am an amateur promoter of festivals, not exclusive to blues. Anything to draw a crowd. I hope to vacation again, soon, to the mainland...to see my favorite players, before they die. As a hobby, I modify vintage ham microphones for harp mics, create beautiful harp amps, and speaker cabs, from stuff I scrounge on Ebay. This hobby keeps me out of trouble, and out of jail...(and in the poor house). I will be keeping my day job, until I die. I often throw together bands, just so I can perform the songs I love, at the very shows I help promote. No complaints yet. Good way, btw...to get your self out there playing with lots of good musicians(and sometimes bad ones). A word of advice to the novice..you will need to earn respect, 1st...as a decent player, then..be trustworthy, kind, and friendly person. You could also say, that's a good way to get along here on the forum, too. Not necessarily needing to be a decent player. Just pay us all $5. And you're in. This forum will be a source of info, humor, tales of adventure, show n tell, and some good brothers (and sisters) to yak it up with over a beer. Let me know if you ever make the swim. I'll show you the place I call home. And ...no! we don't still live in grass shacks.
Why is it that we all just can't get along?<

Hi thanks for having me - I should have come here long ago. Y'all are a bunch of good folks that talk about what I'm interested in - usually in great detail. * Beer * BBQ * Blues Techniques In any order.
I had been playing for years but fell out of love with it, let it slide, got rusty. Then one day I found out I was not the only one who couldn't get an OB out of a Lee Oskar. Now I'm starting over from scratch: new harps, new mission, new love.
I look forward to being active in the community - Thanks for being here and opening your door.
