No idea what it is!
Picture is NOT an 1896 HM MB Its probably some generic picture they've pulled off the web. ---------- The Pentatonics Myspace Youtube

"It's music,not just complicated noise".

7L....I haven't got my glasses with me and the photo is not very clear but it looks like it might be a tremelo!! Are there 2 rows of holes? I can't really make it out. ---------- Oisin

The photo is of a Marine Band Octave, but I doubt the seller took that photo. Looks to me like it was pulled off the web from somewhere (probably Hohner's site, given the relative obscurity of this model).
I'd clarify what is actually for sale here before you bid.

The model name is a Marine Band Concert and it is an octave harp. It's the same thing as the Hohner Auto Valve minus the windsver valves. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte

My friend has one. His dad wanted to get him a MB and this one looked fancier than the rest.

The picture looks like the Marine Band Octave harmonica.
If you're interested, you'll want to ask the seller - make sure you're getting what you want if you win.
1896 is part of the MB Octave number (189653) and it is available in C and G...
