What is your Favorite or Most challenging Harp Technic Exercise ?
My favorite right now is doing Chord Arpeggios in every Octave.
Most challenging has always being keepingmy bends in tune w/ speed through my lower register ! ;(

I've been practicing on a treadmill. 2.5 MPH, 6% incline, playing blues scale, some improv, and some songs I know. Not to strenuous but after about 20 minutes you can start to feel it. And who can't use more walking these days? ---------- "A harmonica is not just a souped up kazoo?" -Mo Rocca

c 10 hole 1st octave. Major scale fragments without overblows. Moving in the circle of 5ths. c d e f g f e d c g a b c d c b a g d e f# g a g f# e d
There's more but this will get you started. Some can't be done without overblows so skip those for now. ----------

Bend the note played in the first octave. This exercise is meant for non overblowing. It's for bending in the first octave. ----------

Playing "Amazing Grace" with a bagpipe-like drone, the way Howard Levy does it; in some parts, you have to TB 4 or 5 holes.

Icemaster- lol. I just had an asthma attack two days ago trying to play while I used my step machine!
It's not a terribly hard exercise, but it's useful. I practice getting a good seal on my cup by trying to sound the 10 hole draw on a 1-3 hole blow. Hmm, seem to be able to get a blow bend on something on the low end too. That's new.
