just got a hand operated drill press/tapper, mini anvil, vise, various nut drivers, 080 0090 1/72 and 2/56 hex, phillips, and slotted nuts and bolts. the brass slotted are great to mimic 1896 coverplate nails for a vintage look. the hexes work nicely after you drill and tap reedplates, though i prefer the phillips for faster access, you are less likely to slip or strip with a hex nut driver.
customizers should check 'em out, great stuff!,
PS. TIP, where to find .002/0.05 mm shim for reed alignment etc? A. auto parts store,
you have to buy of a set of gages but it's only about $6. they are covered in oil so you'll want to clean them off before use. larger gages are good for tuning support or making wrenches and plinkers. ,---------- MP doctor of semiotics and reed replacement.

Cool tips, MP. Maybe we can make this a thread on where to buy tools for tinkering. Anyone else have any good suggestions?

i like the wands too. especially for short high pitched reeds where you don't want to mess up the gap.
they also make for neater, cleaner tuning marks ---------- MP doctor of semiotics and reed replacement.
