I enjoyed it. I like anything where the harp is married to synthesisers and new tech. Well not anything but I like to see how the harp is being used today in new ways. ----------
Isaac that was brilliant! Love it. You know it kind of reminds me of some of Greyowlphotoart's stuff but I think Greyowl is a bit of a better player than this guy. I love stuff like this ....keep 'em coming. ---------- Oisin
The concept is cool, but the execution leaves something to be desired. This guy needs to shed his bends! They're seriously all over the map. That may be considered style by some, to me it sounds too gooey, sloppy, and out of control. I would have prefered it more on the clean and funky side.
I agree with both Oisin and Sammyharp. I think the concept is very cool, and the performances are very entertaining. So as a whole, I liked it, but I definitely think that Dan's technique could certainly be improved. Now, that would be my critique if he would say he's a "pro", but if he doesn't claim that (i.e., he's in the same boat as most of us here on MBH), I'd say he's doing brilliantly! And yes, I do think GreyOwl does this sort of thing a little more coherently. So, of course, does Hakan. But I like what Dan is doing too.
I love it. That's Modern Blues Harmonica if I ever heard it. I bet people go nuts when they hear a live band playing this song.
Love it or hate it, alot of people listen to pop!
Hmmmm, I wonder if there are any Justin Bieber songs I can cover... oh, wait, I don't have an F# harp. (Because his voice is really, really high and I imagine all his music would require the use of an F# harmonica. I am partially eluding to the fact that he sings like a girl. It's a joke. Get it?)
