I've been wondering how many MBH members have a classic car or truck. Adam's recent video got me thinking about this. Todd made a comment about a Posi in Adam's truck and I just read Greg's comments referring to seat belts and the judging of a show car. Of all the people I know that own a classic I can't think of one that is a musician too. Well, outside of Adam.

My pride 'n' joy... 1959 Triumph TR3A, fresh Signal Red paint, wire wheels. Not a 100-point show car, but gets a lot of waves and smiles. Makes me smile, too!

Classic cars were a big part of my musicial life. I use to own a mint 63 cadillac park ave (in photo) and a near mint 1959 black cadillac limo. The 63 was featured in dwight yokums video -guitar cadillacs song and did many coast to coast tours with a trailer on the back. I decided in 1992 to go to college and sold them both. I don't really miss them much because they were such a commitment. While I owned them it was a joy! Life changes and now they would cause me too much stress. Nobody just drives a classic. They put a ton of hours into keeping it roadworthy. I changed engines, transmissions, did electrical work, and just about all the repairs. On those cars you didn't need a computer and metric tools to work on them. Just good old elbow grease and the knowledge I learned in HS auto shop and hanging around gear heads! Walter

Got me thinking about my first car now. 64 1/2 Mustang 2X2 fastback. Bought it for $800, sold it for $1500. Thought I had made out like a bandit at the time. Sure wish I still had it.

Boris your car reminds me of the earlier Subaru's, we've owned a few.
I tried to embed a photo of our Classics but wasn't sucessful. My wife has a 60's Dune Buggy with a Super Beetle engine and I have a 66 Cyclone Gt Conv. Pace Car. We need to have a MBH Blues Cruise.

Ripper, it was a free Lincoln Continental and I knew someone with a whole box of spare parts for it. My friend ended up selling it for $100. The guys on Pawn Stars bought one in worse shape for 10k to fix up and resell. :( I also missed out on learning to drive on a pretty old gold Catalina that my dad had. It's body was mint but my dad had it at the mechanics and they burned it up. I guess I'm destined to drive little cars.

when i could afford to spend the $$ on cool cars (now it's on cool harps, mics, amps), i had a '59 chevy apache pickup with bored 283 block and 327 double hump vette heads along with a cam. pearl white. '66 malibu bucket seats. still had the orig 3 speed and 411 rear gears. i called it the wall climber since nothing could touch it once the cam kicked in. after that came a '67 mustang couple, powder blue. '85 302, cammed, balanced, blueprinted, headers, dual 4's. kitted c4 tranny that would just smoke the tires. i once held it in 1st to nearly 50 and 2nd to nearly 80. a total disaster off the line. after that i became much more sedate. current midlife crisis ride is a fixer-upper '94 miata, bone stock. but a toally fun driver.

One of my biggest regrets was selling my '66 Mustang Coupe(289)when my dad's friend convinced me I'd put oo many miles on it with my commute years ago...
I also had a '72 Buick Skylark that was in near-mint condition when I bought it in 1986. ----------

I used to have one of these:
(1964 Triumph Bonneville)
Mine was nowhere near as nice as this one. It was bone stock, however, and almost all original too. Riding it around (and repairing it en route with duct tape and baling wire on a routine basis) was my first obsessive hobby in my 20s. I kept the bike till I was in my 40s, when my son was born. My wife and I bought a house without a garage, so that there was no place to store the bike when it wasn't running (which was most of the time) and my wife really didn't like me riding it when it was running. She thought it would be a bad influence on my son. I sold it cheap to my best friend on the condition that he'd offer it to me first if he ever sold it. With luck, maybe he'll get tired of it in 10 or 15 years, and I can buy it back when my son is old enough to ride it. Soooo much fun, through the countryside on a summer afternoon...
