It depend where I am going. In my bag, I carry harps, a vocal mic, a harp mic and cables. Sometimes, I'll bring an amp. Sometimes, I won't, if I wish to travel light. It never bothers me to play through the Pa and a vocal mic. ---------- The Blues Photo Gallery

Here is my case. On sale at home depot for $20 - put some pick-n-pull foam in there - works for me.
JT-30 with a CM Harps Cables Delay Xtra mic in case I need to mic my amp.

It's very sad question. It depends on music I going to play and is it possible to drive car (my car is old and when it's too cold it's better to leave it in garage). When I drive I take - 3 softcases of 12-14 diatonics each (two sets of all 12 keys + low harps + some minor harps + some extra for most often needed keys), - 4 chromatics (all in C 2x12 holers, 2x16 holers), two amps (one tube and one solid state), - my big pedalboard (wireless, Rocktron Hush, Boss HR-2, MXR Carbon Copy, two LoneWolf HarpAttacks, tube pre, Ibanez digital delay, ibanez phaser, BBE Sonic Stomp), - shure SM57 for amplified playing, - Digitech RP-200 with Richard Hunter patches - Audix Fireball for playing clean and through RP-200, - small set of harp tools, - bunch of wires, - AC adapters, - Zoom H2 for recording gigs
When I go to jam I usually take harps only. When gig is not big I'm without car I can take only harps, RP-200 and Fireball or SM57 plus small pedalboard with the most useful MXR Carbon Copy, one LoneWolf Harp Attack and BBE Sonic Stomp, it usually enough to sounds great to any amp. ---------- Excuse my bad English. It depends on what they have there. Some places they may have mics and a PA system in place. Normally, an amp, my harps, a couple of cords, and any effect pedals. Oh, at less formal events, or with newer material, lyric sheets with some chord notes and whatnot! A bottle of a non-sugary beverage is good too.
I don't have great gear. I have a little Park amp, a sure Prologue mic, a re-purposed vocal FX pedal and some cables from the reduced bin at the local music store, the normal 12 keys and a Low F and a Low Low F. Slowly upgrading the harps to better models, although, ironically, I have a couple surprisingly good Piedmonts in rarely used keys (and I use the case they came in for all my harps.)

haha, I can't afford myself a good car (mine is made in Russia in 1988), but I spend almost all my money for harps and gear, and can't stop, I really have a G.A.S. ---------- Excuse my bad English. Click on my photo or my username for my music.

/it will be interesting to hear what kind of thngs you bring along to gigs and jam sessions./
Usually just a box of harmonicas, a tambourine and a couple of egg shakers. //EDIT: and a roll of gaffer tape! Amazing stuff.// Sometimes a mic (SM58), mic stand and cable, too.

My '62 Fender Concert Amp (big gigs) or my modified '93 Fender Blues Deluxe (small to medium gigs), my Astatic JT30 and Shure PE585V microphones, diatonic harmonicas in all keys, spare diatonic harps in all keys, chromatics in 6 keys including the big 4 octave Hohner 64 in C, a cheesy spring reverb unit from the '70s by Univox, an MXR Carbon Copy Delay unit, cords to connect everything, amp fuses, a small screwdriver set.
Last but not least, a 13 ounce bottle of tequila nestled discreetly in my gear bag. In our band, the lead singer and I have determined we sing and play better if we have a shot or two before going on stage. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
Cheers,

..don't know how to reduce it...:-(..enjoy!
I use an Ibanez CD10 Echo. Really sweet set up.
I'm a big fan of SP20's.
I have a friend tune em for me, and make em sound way better.
We work out a barter thing for amps and mics. I prefer the CM/CR in the EV Spherex 920. Greg designed the grill. Great story, too. Greg is a dream weaver. ANother favorite is the chopped ASTATIC 200.. They are noticeably lighter, and easy to modify with a vc. And they are the coolest lookin thangs, too.
I find VC's invaluable. Simply no other way for me to play.

I also use this Admiral home brew with twice the punch. The Kalamazoo One is a beefy 5 watts w/(1) EL84.
The Admiral is 14 watts, w/(2) EL84's.
Then, if i need something bigger, I'll use the 59Bassman RI.
I wish I had more bigger venue gigs, just so I could play with it more. The Bassman...that is.
And get better acquanted with what it is capable of.
Truly in a class all it's own. I already love it.
I had very well better get out there and hustle, then! You might like some of this, too.

yo! The Chro is the best I've played. I love it, MAN! Thanks Mark! For years I have been thinking I wasn't skilled enough to learn the damn thing(Chromatic Envy). It's true!..after playing the one you gave me, I find it alot easier. Because..I reeeeeally want to learn some cool songs with the chromatic. Little Walter, Rod Piazza, William Clark,or Mark Hummel, come to mind... There is still alot of practicing ahead. But easier to play now....thanks again.

here's my next project...a Baldwin 30 watt power amp converted for Harp. I finally found the right pre amp. Yippeee. It's been years on the shelf. The power amp was modified with speaker & mic jacks, an rca for pre amp, and volume pot. The volume pot now acts as a master v/c. I'm having a tech polish it up and remove a hum, but it sounded pretty badass through my four 10 cab. We'll see how badass it turns out to be soon. The 59Bassman is still hard to beat. Though, it has been a long time dream to have a 30+ watt EL84 amp. And now the mystery is solved. So far so good. There is some creative installation and wiring involved. But what I have heard during the test, wow!..it will sound really good. There's a certain tone characteristic with the EL84's. They are very different from 6L6's 6V6's and others. And with Rola alnico and ceramic speakers, my flavor of the month, I have found the best response and tone from the EL84's. Now, finding a way to haul it off to a gig, is the next problem. I have a nice pine 4X10 cab waiting.. href="http://s1023.photobucket.com/albums/af360/mojokane/?action=view¤t=baldwinEL84topview.jpg" target="_blank">

for gigs double harps in common keys, plus xb40 and low F, 4x10 bassman clone bigger venues, 1953 danelectro smaller, ear plugs, bullet mic with old sure element with a backup mic, train whistle for mystery train intro, pedals (sonic stomp, lone wolf delay and octave), an extensiion cord and power strip, and a water bottle. Also a low impedance mic (vintage thing) and some replacement parts.
