everybody has posters they don't particularly care for,but i was thinking there are a lot of people who are full of knowledge, interesting, or just plain funny.
here are a few of mine:
BBQBOB, bugger knows so much acana on hohners and other harps it's like he spends all his free time haunting harmonica factorys or something.-
htownfess, helped me out a lot in the tuning dept. thoughful, informative posts.
buzadero, extremely funny. underwater janitor? patriot?
EV630, his intelligence can be overlooked because (like buz) he's pretty damn funny...even when he's insulting you.--------- MP hibachi cook for the yakuza doctor of semiotics superhero emeritus

nacoran cos he has an awesome sense of humor. And for keeping this place together. Thanks man!
bbqbob is of course incredibly helpful...
EDIT: oh, of course tooka (for his style of music/humor) and waltertore (he was very inspirational as a character in general).
EDIT again: Oh, man this list was from yesterday night... now that I read Todd's list... so many that I forgot. Of course hvyi (with his close to genius way of playing everything without ob's), shanester (cos he's cool), harpwrench (with rather few but always highly informative and contemplated posts), isaacullas (because of... I don't know - soo much), BigD (cos his music rocks and I always listen to Temptation when I'm doing the dishes), Greg Heumann, HarpNinja, Dutchbones... and of course Todd for reminding me that there are soo many cool people on this forum.
All the guys that make this forum fun to read...
This list (any list) can't make the awesomeness of this forum and community any justice...
This forum rules! And the good part... it will only get better!

I like everybody.
Mostly.
I mean, I have been surprised by some things. I am turned off by some people, but then they go and post something which really has an impact on me, my views or how I am learning to play.
Don't ask me for names...
P.S. +1 for BBQ Bob. I swear I think of him and his stance on breath force every time I catch myself playing too hard - which is pretty much every day. Cheers Bob! ----------

This is a hard question.
GH's post on reed shapes was one of my favorites of all time, and he and Isaac always find topics that really catch my interest. David Payne is a trove of historical harmonica info. Tooka's harp challenge is awesome.
(And everyone I've done business with on here has been great too!)

I don't have a favorite. I'm with arzajac-I dig most everybody. I glean things from many here, and always enjoy the different points of view-except when they erupt into pissing matches, which I occasionally(mistakenly?)try to lighten the mood of, if I get involved at all. I know it's better to ignore and press on, but it's the peacekeeper in me, I guess. Once a guardsman, always a guardsman...
I have enjoyed the light-hearted banter and feel some comaraderie with several here(or maybe just on my side-they could hate me for all I know), or at the very least I like to read their posts- some of which I can name...

HarpNinja Greg Heumann Stickman harpwrench GH DeakHarp Pharpo isaacullah EV630 greywolfphotoart(He's gonna have a KTEL album some day, I just know it!) Oh yeah...BBQ Bob. And Kudzu, for letting me stick around!

One of my choices has got to be bbqbob. When he talks, I listen. Just out of interest, I found this quotation from Jerry Portnoy, talking about Bob:
"not only the best harp player in Boston, but one of the very best, period."
We are very lucky to have him posting here.
Another choice would be waltertore. I used to love his anecdotes and insights. Absolute little gems. I think the squabbling and generally disrespectful use of language made him leave the forum, at least I know it did the first time. That is a huge loss to all of us.

In the Mad Scientist category:
isaacullah, germanharpist, Brendon Power
In the Humanitarianism category:
tookatooka, germanharpist, waltertore
In the Scholarship category:
kudzurunner, elkriverharmonicas, barbequebob
In the Technical Category: Greg Heumann, harpwrench, Buddha, and the amp heads who I'll have to fill in later.

KudzuRunner, because he talks about music as much as he talks about harp. Greg Heumann for sharing his solid technical expertise.
Generally, all posters who talk about harmonica and music without getting sidetracked into never-ending non-relevant arguments.

I don't have a "favorite", however, when I see certain names on a thread I always read what they have to say: BBQBob-A wealth of knowledge and history. He seems to know something about every topic...and not just piping in to hear the sound of his own keyboard click.
HVYJ - He seems to not only have a great understanding of music theory but he always seems to communicate it in a way that I "get".
Budha - If you read what he writes and don't try to assume any "attitude" he is a wealth of information and super helpful.
Greg H - Never met him but seems like a good guy. Willing to help and offer his expertise on more than just microphones.
Kudzu - Pretty obvious one.

My personal Mount Rushmore of the MBH forum,
1.Kudzurunner - I can think of no one who has walked the walk and can talk the talk, better than Adam. One minute you're reading a nuanced critique of another excellent player, the next an impassioned reasoned argument about the role of race in the history of the blues. If there was only one guy I could go to for all my questions; blues harmonica, blues history, gig playing, the life, it would be Adam.
2.Barbeque Bob - I'm sure he has forgotten more great stories about the greats than I'll ever know.
3.Greg Heumann - Maybe not the most prolific poster on here, but if it's about mikes and amplification...he's the human encyclopedia.
4.hvyj - the most unobtrusive of the four, but always consistently good, solid, helpful information and insight on a variety of subjects.

I have a hard time picking favorite posters, but I think that BBQ Bob has gone way beyond the call of duty in the sort of stuff he's shared about the musical and social elements of actually BEING a blues harmonica professional, old-school variety. He's told some stories and shared some wisdom--told some truth, in a way that I'm glad to see people appreciating.
Todd Parrot has been a force for good and I'm glad he's here.
Buddha's tenure hasn't always been easy, and I suspect most people here have, at one point or another, wanted to sic a dog on him, but I also suspect that most people here agree with me that the forum has been an infinitely more interesting place thanks to his postings.
IsaacCullah gets props because he has managed to contribute for a LONG time while remaining civil, yet--on the one occasion when he felt profound antagonism with a thread--managed to make his feelings very clear in a way that called this forum to account.
If I keep naming names, those whose names I don't mention will feel slighted. So I'll stop--after thanking ALL current and former moderators, whose help has been greatly appreciated.

Every time I make a favorites list of anything, I always end up forgeting somebody or something and I'm sure this time will be no different. So here are 5 of my favorite posters off the top of my head: GermanHarpist and nacoron for doing great jobs as administers. BBQ Bob for his knowledge of blues harp and the road stories. Greg Heumann for his knowledge of mics, amps and equipment (even if I don't always understand the technical terms ) and last but not least, kudzurunner for everything.
