I'm having trouble with my first Lee Oskar. I've had it for about two weeks now and I play it just about every day and it still squeaks and whines. My other harps are Hohner and Seydel and I've never had the same problem with any of them. I checked the gapping, I've made sure my technique was right, I don't know what else I need to do. Does it just need to be broken in longer?

You are blowing too hard. Simple as that.

if your embouchure is a little off, a harp will squeak and whine.
oskars tend to whistle when engageing a bend with loose lips whereas i find that less of a problem with hohners.
i'll purposely use bad embouchure w/ minimal air pressure sometimes just to see how responsive a harp is. ---------- MP hibachi cook for the yakuza doctor of semiotics superhero emeritus

I've never had a Lee Oskar squeak on me except when I try to over blow, and then that's all it does. Is it a particular hole that's whining?

Yeah I've been toying with the pressure but the 6 draw is super touchy. It is definitely more responsive than my other harps. I just thought it felt too touchy. I guess I have to get used to it. Thanks for the help.
@ nacoran- it's the 6 draw in particular. It almost feels like it's getting stuck. Once it squeaks it won't draw right until I blow. I've taken it apart to see if it's catching something but it doesn't look like it. It may be that I'm just not used to it being so responsive and hitting it too hard like myverylongusername said.
