Hello everybody, I'm new at this beautifull forum. My name is Arnoud, I live in The Netherlands. I play Hohner Marinebands; Special 20's and Seydel 1847 (betaharps from Ben Bouman) and I use an EV re-10 mic into a Marble Bluesonic amp.
I hope to learn alot from everybody here....
By the way: Excuse me my bad english..
Greetings Arnoud

Your English is fine. Btw, I think EV mics in general are terrific mics for harmonica. I used an RE-15 for a long time until I got a 545 Ultimate when Greg started making them.
EVs usually have a fat midrange response which I think works well for harp.

WOW what a way to wake up on a beautiful monday morning... Hello everybody: my name is Jim Stone. I too am new on this web site. though I've been reading alot of the archived post's to catch up on things. too bad for NOD and TNFrank... is that their names? as the great Rodney King once said "can't we all just get along" oh.. well. alittle about ME.. I've been playing harp since I was six.. I got my first harp in my x-mas stocking.. put it down for a long time, then picked it back up in my teens.. and found out I still sucked... fast forward to my early thirties and I thought I would try it for real this time.. I've been learning and playing for about 15-20 years now... I think I still suck.. just not as bad. my gear is a bassman RI with typical tube mods, maybe some speaker changes in the future?? I have a multitude of mic's some Americans, EV's, turners, argonnes, shure's and my work horse is an Archer 9IL with a very nice sounding CR that I found at a garage sale.. I like to tinker with my mic's and play with my tubes... I'm not getting nasty.. so get those thoughts out of your heads I'm talking my harp stuff here. I've got lots of questions that I'll be asking.. so please be patient some might be stupid and others ... well ? I'm your typical middle aged (not balding) wannabe, But the difference is I know I wont be the next big harp thing and try not to get the EGO that some players that I've met that arnet have as good as I am exhibit. I'm just having fun with my self playing and amazing my self everyday that I play. good to be on this site
