I was wondering how easy it is to add a "back to top" button at the bottom of the page? I have thought that this would be a nice feature to have when reading through some of the longer threads.
Of course this speaks to my modern age laziness that I don't want to move my mouse wheel or click and drag more than I have to.
Now I fell pathetic, but am asking just the same...

How hard it is? On a website built from scratch it's like a 15 minute job if I would stop to grab a coffee in the middle of doing it. On this type of cookie cutter layout I think Adam can only modify the HTML in certain places. If he could modify the source code he could put the button in the footer & give the table... (ick, table) div an ID and tell the href on that button to go to that div.

If you are using FireFox (and if not, why not?) there is a 'back to top' addon that puts little blue top and bottom arrows into the right corner of the bottom status bar. Works like a charm. Essential addon (along with FastestFox.)

I think another useful modification would be to put those page numbers for multi-page threads at the bottom of each page as well as at the top.

@bluemoose: How have I not found that addon before now! I've been using firefox for 8 years! Of all the handy little addons, that's one of the handiest! It's up there with "go2url", and "videodownloadhelper"! Thanks for pointing that out to me! ---------- ------------------

If you like gotourl you'll love FastestFox. Highlight a text string and it brings up a bubble with configurable links to google, youtube, wikipedia and other search engines and a dictionary definition if it can find one. If it's a url it does what gotourl does. Plus it will preload next pages so you can just scroll down. This works for the MBH main forum page with the pages of question headers but doesn't work for multiple pages of a question.
(FireFox rules! Plus you can download a cool blue tinted vintage microphone graphic for your browser skin.)
