I thought that was pretty darn good! And I am VERY jealous of the fact that you are out on a boat in what looks like great weather! Is that SoCal? Just curious about where in the world it is so nice right now.

I liked the high end blowbends you were throwing in there, especially towards the end. Some of the middle range playing could have been "crisper", but I imagine you might have had a bit of navy grog flowing trough your veins at that point? Especially judging from the half empty cup of amber liquid that was on the mic stand! ;) All in all, you played with taste and style,a nd didn't stomp all over it. Very nice!

Neat table/mic stand ( although you almost dumped it there trying to hand Larry a vox solo ! )
Nice playing, too. I especially liked the vocals.

What a great gig!
Our band had a terrible night on the 3rd. Place kinda a friendly dump, owners cool, four customers all night....fewest we've ever played for. Stage was so small, the sax player and myself looked like siamese twins. Then, the mounties were out in force, so easy on the comp beer. Didn't help that the night before, a bigger dive down the street had a huge bar fight and one guy had a finger bitten off!

thanks guys!

@LittleJoe,

larry got the mic stand attachements ideas from me. i used to have an ashtray, harp mic holder, drink holder, set list(never followed it)etc.

sorry to hear about your gig. it's been ten years but i remember a gruesome stabbing with a scissors in a PA dump.

the next night the dump was robbed. we didn't get paid because the robbers obviously had our cash.

one reason i moved back home to hawaii after 7 years was the bullshit out there. i think after 7 years you can get pretty worn out.

I hear ya, Mark. I thought I was escaping Yahooland five years ago when I moved from Wisconsin to California five years ago. There's as many bozos and freaks out here, ( and it's one of the nicer areas ) .

I chatted with my attorney last night and told him about it. He started laughing, and said he was in court on Tuesday when the perp was arraigned and everyone perked up when the charge of MAYHEM was announced. Mayhem? that's one you don't hear often!

My buddie "Cadillac Pete" Rahn has built quite a business designing and marketing various add-on holders for mic stands...mostly geared for harp players.

tryharp,
yeah, rough life. a low down dirty rotten shame.

actually, it's not all roses. my girlfriend has acute myloid leukemia. i/we are stressing and have been stressing big time.

playing is a good temporary release from the hellish nightmare we deal with day to day.

it's best to live life to the fullest. if you want to live in the tropics, play harp, climb the himalayas,..well do it brah! and good on yah!

love the frenchy!

i hear yah nancy, it took the 18 year old virtual step daughter to walk me through this insane web.

speaking of whom, put a damper (pun intended) on this cruise.

i had her drive cuz i was drinking so of course her and her cute little buddy go lie on some webbing betwixt the hulls.

our car keys AND her cell phone fell out of her pocket and into the drink. per omnia secula seculorum. fooking shite!

we got a ride and new keys cost us $50 cuz they have a 'chip' inside them.

life is good!
ich liebe es!

That is cool, I like the way harp and sax play together (why is that you never see them ?), until the sax solo I actually thought there were two harps !

I liked the jam on the boat too. Very nice playing, just lacked direction some times, but the velocity is beyond me. Do you OB when you run fast in the middle of the harp ?

hey gloth,

i totally agree on the lack of direction at times.

once in awhile my brain gets bombarded simultaneously with conflicting ideas. this is one of those times. oh well..

no OBs at all. i'm workin' on 'em though.
