Given Dr. G's forum is seemingly (and lately) migrating from quality harp talk to New Age seekers that found enlightenment at Barnes and Noble, arm-flapping religion chatter, politics and some insecure big egos ranting --- let's talk, SEX!

Let's put the fun back into the MGH for a short time! Then lets get back to talking much more about harmonicas, music, technique, tech tips, stuff for sale, a bit of music history, music cultures, music theory and what not. Might we leave the rest at the door?

Me? Lost my virginity in the back of a Ford station wagon, took about a minute; 1970, no harp present. There were no mini-vans or tinted windows in those days -- but there were come pretty groovy hippie vans. I used dad's Ford station wagon that had rubber mats, no carpet and a set of golf clubs rattling at my head. Fond memories.

Where? High school parking lot; daring daylight hours; wonderful girl (still a friend, still a wink when we see each other). Made my toes curl and perhaps ruined me in some wonderful ways.

Who? Gentlemen don't tell!

Gentlemen are also tolerant, kind, loving and work to make this forum and relationships rich, welcoming, supportive and peaceful. If we don't get back to more of that, why bother stopping by MBH? Frankly, I pretty sick of the confrontational tone in more and more threads; bullying, so-called 'thinkers and seekers' and their vomit of phony intellect, their and outright intolerance and rudeness. That's a side of the ''blues" that makes me, well, ah, blue.

Dr. G. (but I can't speak for Adam) and I often get that all day long in our respective classrooms, when I stop here I want more fun, more useful information, rubbing elbows with caring experts (and God forbid, 'talented' players and techs), warm -- and perhaps humorous folks that are lighthearted and non-judgmental (as Elk points out). I am seeing less of these MBH qualities -- or is it just me or an blip on a small forum in the wasteland of the Internet? Is the community evolving in a manner that is unintended and too often harsh?

Let the sex talk begin...and then end; then lets get back to harp/blues/jazz chat, shall we? Or shall some of us merely quietly go elsewhere...hum.

Peace.

Not sure what the year was but at least we had a bed. Funny to think about that terrifying moment in history.

Bill, I find myself visiting much less. One thing that I did learn from here this week is a little bit of mic technique watching Filisko do the Big Walter tune. I found it interesting how the sound changed when he opened one hand from around the mic. I tried it this morning and it is neat. It did cause my left hand to cramp a bit holding the bullet but I'm sure that will go away in time.

Bingo, Ripper. There are many class acts on the forum like Joe Filisko --and much to learn. Let's encourage them; hang in there, and hope the community applies pressure to the insecure bullies and loppy ranters to take it somewhere else.

Music, especially blues, and sex go together like bread and butter, peaches and cream. Well you get the idea. Me, Nash Rambler, sometime late 1950's. The front seats folded flat and it was nothing more that a bed on wheels. Always wondered what my Dad was thinking when he bought that.

Back seats. I recently finished my first restoration of a classic in over 24 years. I have to admit I've been thinking about the back seat. Just a pleasent thought though, I don't think my back could take it.

Sweet ride, Ripper. Wind in the hair and all that. Congrats on the restoration work. Was it talent or experience? Just kidding. It's simply is a great feeling and terrific work. Have fun this summer.

I once had a GTO that is somewhat like your car. Got drunk once and sat on a beer glass, cut my butt, went to hospital and got stitches. Sometimes I look at the scar with fond memories of a big back seat the bite back.

We don't need more confrontation, my friend. Everyone knows who the bad actors are and I'm not going lower myself to that level. Sorry, enough drama.

Well, this was fun for a while. Guess I'll go clean the Lovebugs off my truck.
I wonder if Duke Tomato lost his in the back seat of a buick since he makes reference to that in his world famous tune " I wanna tie you up"?

The front seat of af a 63 Ford Fairlane. Had to open the doors to let the legs hang out. Back seat was too cramped. Late at night on a country road. A generous girl that I never saw again.

so the first time was at a high school party outside, the crowd was cheering us on, i gently cupped her round part, and got soundly shocked... ran of to get a pair of shoes cause she was not very well grounded.... then played amplified for the first time with a band and felt the power.
cops came 10 minutes later and busted the whole thing up.

I was a very late starter,23yrs old!, in my mates girlfreinds flat in the spare bedroom with a girl named Dawn who had a body of a porn star and teeth like a friggin horse! one sort of cancelled out the other.
I was so exited i was whooping and hollering till the guy in the flat next door started banging on the wall and shouting at me to SHUT THE F**K UP!.
We did it six times that night, it was like chinease food, lots of courses but none of them lasting very long! then i found out she was only fifteen and had an agry father and two angry brothers so that was the end of that, Ahh happy days

I guess the most important question for ALL of us to know is: Did/does playing harp help you lose your virginity? Does it prevent you from losing it? See, now we are starting to get back to the harp talk Bill.
