No but when I put on the 3-D glasses I got from watching Avatar and play my Firebreath, the music I make enters that mysterious 3rd dimension sometimes brought up on this Modern Blues Harp forum. That ever happen to you?

Lol. MP- I don't have a B-RAD to play with, but I've rinsed some of my cheapo plastic combed harps and they seem to play a little louder until they dry out. My guess is some of the water is filling the gaps making the harp more airtight. I've also seen people on the forum suggest not running harps under water. It's one thing to dunk them, but water pressure from putting it directly in the faucet stream may damage the reeds. Playing a damp harp that already has tight tolerances might make playing loud more dangerous to your reeds too, although I'm just extrapolating from a guess.

Popped mine in boiling water for 3 minutes, followed by an eight hour liquid nitrogen soak to relieve the stresses inherent in the reeds. Was then able to shatter all of the wine glasses in the house by running an air compressor into the 4 blow. Harp did not require any retuning!

had to drill some holes in top and bottom cover plates to let out excess fluids. accidently went too deep. hit several reeds but they still work. now it sounds completely different and i can't figure out why. should i send it back?
my hohners still work after sterno and the drill press.
@KeithE, i'm old school sterno, but if nitrogen works and i don't have to retune -i'll try it.
at present my B-RAD sounds like a johnson blues king and only plays in lydian mode.

CVS got uptight and called security but not before i lifted not one, but two bottles of hennessy!! also got some plummers goop.
think i'll open the reed slots on the B-RAD with whatever i can find in the kitchen to see if i get more projection. if not i'll close 'em back up with goop on a corn dog stick.

Just plain old lighter fluid works the best, just don't forget to light it....

after that vid i smoked a fat one and tried to shine my B-RAD with .003 steel wool. didn't like the black stuff but now it looks even worse! i'm gonna finish the hennessy, eat some icecream, and try plain old lighter fluid. HEY 46! how old does the lighter fluid have to be?

Kerosene would be close enough for your purposes...playing high would still be possible....maybe not as fast.

The wood particulates might close the gap back up on some of those drilled reeds too.

congaron,
went with kerosene. harp is a bit filthy/sooty but afraid i'm hesitant to clean cuz the gaps and holes are now sealed perfectly. this harp has superpowers!!
tried same mod on a MB and now it has no comb to speak of. this thing's built like a tank!
i'm gonna get back in showbiz and this harp will get me there right quick.
