Went down to Old Town San Diego today, and saw this very leaky Harmonica in the museum display. Recovered during excavation of the Indian school before restoration... Definitely "prewar", but probably not airtight anymore, lol!

Just needs a little elbow grease and it will be playing like new in no time!

@nacoran: just needs a good soak in mineral oil and a couple rounds in the sonic cleanser, lol!

@gnarly: We just moved here, hopefully permanently! Starting a new job at SDSU, and if I keep my ducks in order, I will make tenure in a few years and never have to move again. Loving SD so far!!

I live in Hillcrest--Suzuki US is in Santee, east of El Cajon.
Let's get together--and welcome to SD! Pretty good blues scene here!

Gnarly, I think SD has a whole cluster of forum members. I noticed it a while back when someone mentioned they were playing in Balboa Park. My Dad lives in El Cajon. You guys sure have great weather out there! We used to get some reduced price airline tickets- my step-brother-in-law is a pilot for Southwest. Too many family members now though so they don't go around as far.

I was out there one Christmas and my dad was apologizing for the record cold snap- daytime temps were in the 50's. When I got back off the play here in Albany, NY, it was five below.

@Gnarly! Nice! We rented an apartment in La Mesa, and live the neighborhood so far. We were over exploring Hillcrest on Sunday. Great neighborhood! Would love to meet up and talk harp, alternative tunings, etc! I'm around andam generally available until mid August when school starts up.

@nacoran: if you ever come out to visit your dad, look me up! I owe ya a beer or three for all the admin help you've done over the years!
