Yeah, this is a great interview, isn't it? I think deBruyn is awesome! He's definitely one of my all time modern Harmonica heros. Have you heard the new album yet? He's released most of the tracks on his YouTube channel. Perhaps more avant-garde than their previous stuff, but I quite like it!

@ Isaac and Nate re. on target: I guess Steven's comment that he "used to be a blues player" made me think it was OT, lol.

But De Bruyn is a fabulous musician and arranger. I found this inspiring and wanted to share it. "Modern blues" could learn a lot from his influence. Amen to the "great interview"!

I am subscribed to the Junks You tube channel, too, so I have been listening to the new album. I bought the other albums from i-tunes. A workman deserves his wage. But I love to watch the you tube videos anyway.

And after this interview I now understand why so many of his lines sound easy but are a challenge to reproduce! Time to get retuning some of those old blues bender and hot metal harmonicas I have lying around.
