'Wheel' posted some really good live stuff LINK by this cool Japanese band called Monster a while back featuring some very tasty playing by a talented guy called Taro Senga.
I think I spotted a Lee Oskar harp on this studio produced song. He does have a very refreshing and interesting sound. I wonder how many top players use Lee Oskars these days.
Yes, tasty playing indeed! And a very modern sound as well! I can see why he'd go for Lee Oskar's for that funky single note sound. Certainly not second position, and could be an Alternate tuning? Melody Maker? No chords in there to help me hear it... Funky and very smooth sound. I like it! Top 40 ready? Probably not, but definitely got something cool going on... ----------
Gee it took me a while but Ridge is correct it's in third. Song Key = C# Harp key = B. I don't own a B Harp so I transposed the song from C# to B and used my A Harp in third.
his sense of timing is very very good.. and the harp is integral to the sound of the band.. very good solid note choices. tasteful.. bridging all the way from the classic chicago harp role to now
