My first try at a Celtic song. My buddy Bruce wrote it. I didn't have any Celtic tuned or Paddy Richter harps. Just went in first position and stayed as lively as I could on a high G harp and my 24 hole octave harp. I'm on the vocals too. Really wish I'd had some better suited harps, but I was pleasantly surprised by how it turned out...

There seemed to be a little too much going on behind the lyrics; the bass part makes it hard to hear what you are singing. I think that may just be a matter of adjusting the levels though.

Playing a harp that high is dangerous territory. I like most of it but there are few squeaky moments here and there. I think, particularly, the high chords were a little grating, but the melodic runs worked well. I've got a couple 'Irish' tunes I've written, and man, if I haven't played them in a while those squeaky notes are murder, but they are real crowd pleasers too. I'd love to hear another take of this.
