Heck, it's been a while....Got out of the harp playing habit and now trying to get back into it again. I'm not sure what the hell this is. It isn't blues, but it is grim. Near enough? http://youtu.be/jmPZYi1RKsE

Sounds good to me, whatever you want to label it.
Most of us on this forum (at least, I think) seem to have a progressive mindset on what constitutes the blues or, at least, what is appropriate music for the harmonica.
The website is MODERN blues harmonica, after all. Expanding our notions of what is blues.
Thanks for sharing.

Good to see you back at it. Only the other day I was thinking I hadn't heard any new stuff from you in a while. Then you pop up with something. Good stuff as always Jodan. I really like the way you combine the ukelele, harp and video together. It makes for a very evocative experience for the listener/viewer. You have excellent taste in choosing the right imagery to accompany the music and the music itself is always a lesson in restraint and minimalistic playing. I really like the way you keep it all contained and don't go off into "showboating" territory with the harp. It show a very mature musical mind.

It sounds like you'd hear in a French cafe in a noir movie. Pitty the cars weren't something from the 50s or 60s. :)
Very nice.

I third what Kingley said. Just as an aside, what advice could you give to a harp player who's thinking of branching out into uke ownership? EG size, make etc?

Yeah, this is really good. Love it. And I most certainly was wondering what had happened to you recently, as I haven't seen any uploads from you in a while. Really nice to hear your music again! Keep it coming!!!

Really sweet stuff, very tasty, and I also catch the French vibe, which I happen to like quite well. And I also agree about the tasteful way you combine the instruments. All in all a lovely listen. Thanks, and, apparently, welcome back.
