mine:

I wanted a sugar skull and I also wanted something harmonica/blues themed. After throwing around some ideas my guy said he could probably just put them together. I said, "You know what you're doing. Do your thing and have fun with it." This tattoo was free handed. Through the tattoo he would say, "oo! what if I did this?" I'd say, "sounds good."

Brad I like that Sugar Skull tattoo.

Adam sorry but I just think having your hands tattooed is crazy. I speak from personal experience. I had both my hands heavily covered in tattoos for nearly 30 years. All it did was bring me a world of grief, as people judge you as being a criminal even if you aren't. In my case I had left that life behind many, many years earlier and was still being judged because of the tattoos. Eventually I got the money together to get them removed with laser treatment. It took over two years, a heap of cash and a hell of a lot of pain to get them off and I have scars where they were, which will never go away.
I know you'll probably say something like "Well I like them and don't care what people think". I just hope that you don't get constantly judged the way I did by them. As that kind of judgement eats away at you and can have a hugely negative effect on every aspect your life.

Tom, those are some nice tattoos you posted.

I've had a Marine Band 1896 on my right shoulder; courtesy of a motorcycle club, for 25 years. Sun and age have blurred it so it's not worth a photo. I also have a treble clef near it.

A lot of people get tattoos they later regret. I don't regret mine, but then again I never think about it.

Advice, if you have to decide whether you want a tat or not don't get one.

Dad was a Navy chief, retired after 20 some odd years--he never had a tattoo.
I figured, it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me.
Lately, that puts me on the wrong side of fashion.
Christelle has a bitchin' tat of a harp on her ?forearm?
I don't think she posts here--last time I heard, she was in Finland.

Gnarly, Yes you're right Christelle has a great tattoo of a harp on her arm. She is in Finland, but apparently she's now after moving to the UK.

@Adam
BLOW...SUCK on your hands!

I suppose it depends on the world you personally inhabit but i wouldn't want to go anywhere around here with it.
Call me old fashioned but i really dislike tatts on women, some of them have arms that look like sailors.
When the skin starts to sag abit it ain't going to be a good look.

A woman is a huge Beatles fan and decides one day to have the face of Paul McCartney and John Lennon tattooed on her inner thighs. The tattoo artist gets to work and puts John on her left thigh and Paul on her right. When she finally gets to see the tattoos she's horrified.
"These don't look anything like the Beatles, I want my money back!" she says.
"Well wait a minute," says the tattoo artist, " let's get a second opinion first."
The lady agrees and the first person they come across is this drunk sitting on the curb. She goes up to him, lifts up her skirt and asks him if she recognizes who the two tattoos are. He looks for a minute, then says, "Well I don't know who those two fellas on either side are, but that one in the middle with the beard has to be Willie Nelson!"

@shadoe42 & Dog Face Cool Tattoos guys!!! I love the "Skull and Cross harps" haha

@Kingley You took the words right out of my mouth. I do like them and I don't care what people think. I really wanted something that spoke to me. Ever since my wife and I came up with this idea, I couldn't think of any other tattoo ideas that seemed more "me". Besides I already get judged by people for the way I dress, for not shaving, and for the crazy things I say. Why not judge me for knuckle tattoos? Haters will hate, all I can do is brush them off my shoulder. If someone would judge me so strict as to treat me differently then they do not deserve me in their life. And like MP said "if you have to decide whether you want a tat or not don't get one". Well to me there was no decision to be made, however I did want to make absolutly sure that I wanted them. So I had my wife draw them on with a sharpie and I wore them around like that for a weekend. My mind was made up when they came off in the shower and I felt sad to see them go.

BTW these are the only tattoos I have.

Anyone else sporting Harp related Tatts??

Cool tattoos, Adam!
A guy I met at a harp convent sported a circle of fifths on the inside of his left forearm. Very practical.

Me..? I'm mr. clean :)

Doesn't Ant178 have a harp tattooed on the inside of his index finger? He's heavily tatted, so he might have other harp related ink too... There is at least one other thread on harp tats in the archive, and I think there are several pics posted there....
