Forgot to mention that tonight is "Blue Monday" (first monday of the New Year), the saddest, most melancholy night of the year. If it weren't so damn cold outside, I might head down to the crossroads.... ----------   YouTube! Soundcloud!

Well, I'm 50 miles N of the Burg, near Slippery Rock. Got 50 acres of corn field to the west. We are on a hill top. The wind is shakeing the windows. The power keeps going out. -7 deg. on the leeward side of the house, and the Weber board is down. Dam...BN

The online converters says -40 C is - 40 F?!
0 degrees Farenheit is - 18 degrees Celsius. That's what you should have in a freezer to guarantee the food be fresh for a long time. -40 C is extreme cold. You get ice in your nose when you breath. Don't play harp outside. It gonna stuck on your lips. Normally you have to go north of the polar circle to find as low temperature. look after Kiruna Sweden in google earth.. In stockholm we use to have a week or two every year with temperatures about 25 to 30 degrees below zero. Today we have +7 C = 44,6 Farenheit. It's weird!

I spent an hour outside waiting for AAA on Sunday, but it was a balmy 28 F. It was the first day in a couple days when my moustache wasn't freezing solid with condensation in several days. The weather service says it's 6 out now. I think maybe I'll just stay inside. :)

Greg, the only computer program I ever successfully wrote was a little Basic program back in high school (or maybe it was middle school) that converted Celsius to Fahrenheit and back. At least that was the assignment. I fancied mine up (and I think I got docked points for it too! Back in those days the people teaching programing where usually just whichever teacher was free and they didn't want to look at anything fancier than what they knew how to program). Mine would convert to Kelvin as well. -40 is a balmy 233 degrees Kelvin!

It's 12 degrees at 6pm. Time to go to the weekly Harmonica Club meeting. We'll see how many brave the cold. We already have 2 called off, yet 4 confirmed. ---------- theharmonicaclub.com (of Huntington, WV)
