With a wife and two kids under five, the bathroom is the only place I can be alone.I sneak in a chance to play whenever nature calls:)

I will "second" BN. I can't say I haven't practiced in "that" room. Good reverb but not always wanting to play draw notes.

I don't think that understanding that time spent not playing music it's time spent in toilet is a mature idea. I incline to think that time spent WITHOUT music is most significant and important to play and compose music.

For the archive file this thread under Way Too Much Information.
I know, I know so why did I open it? when i see a thread in a harmonica forum, authored by Frank titled Time on the Toilet, I can't not open it.
Call it the Trainwreck Rubbernecking Theory.

I posted about this before. I play while shitting every single day. Frank is right. That is otherwise wasted time (pun intended!). Seriously, that's pretty much my only consistent practice time that I've had for the last 6 years of playing harmonica, and I think it really works well for concentrated effort (puns again!). not only that, but the bathroom often has the best acoustics in your house, so you sound better too. And running scales while working on diaphragm breathing also really helps to push it all out, so it's helpful also for the act that brought you to the room in the first place!
I'm deadly serious here! ----------

So when it plunks when it should plink, it ain't necessarily a broken reed....
P.S.
For some reason, I've been playing You Gotta Move over and over again this morning.

November 19th is world toilet day :^)
http://www.worldtoiletday.org/ refers.
While you are playing on the toilet on NOvember 19th spare a thought for those parts of the world where they don't have that luxury.

I was fartin around on the harp while on the toilet and hit a few terdy sounding notes that were so bad you could almost smell them, that's when I discovered this new product by accident - now there is the scent of nothing but the sweetest sounds I have ever heard expelled from my harmonicas 2 hole :)

Educational theory says that in addition to practice, the brain needs time to reflect, to consolidate what it has learned.
Think about that next time you are on the toilet.
