Over past time I have ended up with 10 or more marine bands and special 20s that have a bum note or out of tune. I Don't have bunch of cash to fixem. Does anyone want them? Or buy harps to fix up?

You could send them to Mark Prados(MP). He fixes them quickly, inexpensively and well, by all accounts. Would be much more cost effective than replacing them. There are also other harp techs who do repairs that you could look into.

@Robbert.....yes, they are WAY cheaper to fix than to replace. And when they come back, they will be better than new.

No, they aren't worth anything. Send them to me and I will properly dispose of them for you*. ;)

*Ok, ok, it's a lie. You should have them fixed or fix them yourself. It's not that hard, actually. Search the forum archives for "reed replacement" and you'll find lot's of tips!

Bigtone - Save those puppies. Gary, Mark, Andrew and Scott can all repair them and make 'em play better than ever. If you can't afford to get them all done at once just do a couple at a time. When you find you need a harp you'll be glad you did. Heck you could even get them tuned to 7 Limit JI whilst you're at it. That proper old school tuning would be ideal for the stuff you're playing.

Time for an apology--
I assumed that Bigtone was Karl Cabbage, since he was the harp player and singer with the Silver Kings.
I spoke with Karl today, and that is no longer the case. My offer still stands, but I don't know who Bigtone is.
Whoops!
