I'm labelling this OT (ish) because there's no harp content in this song, but this band DOES feature the harmonica on some songs (played rack style). The band is "Shovels and Rope", and the song is "Hail, Hail". They are a duo, and they are making some serious noise in the Indie rock circuit. And with good reason.
Here's the album version (just listen to how they use those horns!):
Here's how they play it live as a duo:
And here's a bonus song "Birmingham". It's a contender for best song (of any genre) of 2012 in my book! (This one has a bit of rack harp in it*)
You'll notice that they switch instruments and lead singing roles between them. Very cool stuff. IMO, this is a band that has really found a way to take traditional American music and make something new and interesting without totally loosing the connection to the roots of the sound. I hope they really take off.
*Yes, I know that the harp playing ain't stellar. But it works...
