'Sharp Harp' - Champion Jack Dupree / George "Harmonica" Smith
(Jimmy Rogers / Rod Piazza made a version too, which I actually prefer to the original)

And there's an instrumental on that Big Walter / Paul Butterfield album "An Offer You Can't Refuse" which, confusingly, is also titled 'Easy' but is completely different to the one we all know (and happens to be my absolute favourite Big Walter recording).

(*) highly recommended:

Big Mama Thorton et al: Down Home Shakedown
Cephas and Wiggins: Burn Your Bridges*
Charlie Musselwhite: Harpin on a Riff*
Gary Primich: Cookin’ At Sam’s, Red Top, Varmint*
Fabulous Thunderbirds: Pocket Rocket
James Harman: Wake-Up Call
Jean-Jacques Milteau: Tin Biscuit Boy*, Special, The Hook
Jimmy Reed: Odds and Ends
John Mayall: Room to Move
Lazy Lester: O.J. Shuffle
Louisiana Red: Sugar’s Harmonica Boogie
Mike Stevens: Grumblin’ Old Man
Mitch Kashmar: Runnin’ Off at the Mouth*
Rhythm Willie: Wailin’ Willie
Sonny Terry: Whoopin’ the Doop

Is that right? 14 for Big Walter (Horton) and 20 for Little Walter?

I was just going to say that I bought Kirk Fletchers CD earlier this year and I've been playing the alternate take of Club Zanzibar over and over. It's just a prime example of why Kim Wilson rates amongst the masters. Massive tone.

Another superb instrumental I've been playing a lot of - Zip It Up, performed by Andy Just on the Ford Blues Band CD -1999. Pretty wild and exciting composition, beautifully played.

A must have recording with some incredible harp instrumentals- Times Ain't Like They Used To Be. It's all ancient stuff recorded at the dawn of recording technology but some of these obscure (at least by me) old timey and blues players demonstrate the kind of technique, variation, and musicality that would make a lot of us want to run and hide. Great Deford Bailey instrumental on here too.

Did anyone list "Full Court Press" by Magic Dick & Jay Geils on their Bluestime! album? It's a great tune, and uses richter diatonic, chromatic, and two alternate-tuned diatonics as well. Great tone and 1950's-ish Little Walter-y feel.

Also "Caravan" as done by Gary Primich.
