No one makes a reed wrench that works on all the major diatonic harps. Well here is one.
The small end fits all Hohner reeds as well as Seydel reeds. The bigger end works on Lee Oskar and Suzuki reeds. You can use it to torque off a spot-welded Suzuki reed and then centre the new reed that has been attached with a screw.
The wrench in the photo also has an embossing point. I find it quite precise. I made one just like it about six months ago and it has seen daily use. After using it hundreds of times, it's still good to go. I groom it with some fine sandpaper once per day and that keeps it from getting worn out - especially after working on stainless steel reedplates.
So, if anyone wants one, I can ship one to you for $15. If there is interest, I can make a video about how I groom it and use it.
If you just want it without the embossing point, I can make one and ship it to you for $10.
These are hand-made and nothing fancy, but both sides work well and have a nice snug fit.
If anyone likes the idea so much that they want to make their own and sell them too, go ahead. Not rocket science...

you deserve it Andrew. i make tools all the time. i try to improve on existing designs by making tools as versatile as possible. or, i'll go the other route and make the tool do two things but do them really well.
my wrenches are steel with a round knife edge handle so they plink even the closest gapping. The Hohner reed wrench is excellent for adjusting reeds but phosphor bronze is too soft so the teeth on it get bent out of shape w/ a lot of use. ( i kinda almost ruined mine on pre-war MB type harps. The seats on pre-war Hohners are slightly larger than modern Hohners.) I made myself a pre-war wrench and a modern wrench. both fit snug.
Good luck on your sales. You definitely have a cool, versatile, and useful product. Kudos! ---------- MP affordable reed replacement and repairs.
