This track has been in release for a year and a half, but the music video is brand new, and I hope y'all enjoy it. Yes, I DO bust a dance move part-way in--and I may live to regret it. Ole Miss undergrad Kaleb "K. Mel" Mitchell is the star, and some of you may recognize the young man who upstages both of us. In answer to the obvious question: D harp, third position. In answer to the other obvious question: No, Sterling Magee isn't in the video--visually, that is; he's playing guitar on the track--but since he's been slightly under the weather at his rest home down in Florida, I thought I'd do something to help put a bit of his, and our, joyous spirit out into the holiday atmosphere:
Great video Adam! Am I right in thinking the lad is your son? He did steal the show, but the contrast between all three was what made it for me. Your brief rug cutting was nothing to be ashamed of either, a lot of joy in that song and video.
Arzajac, you're absolutely right: When Kaleb Mitchell showed up for the audition and I asked him--he'd already heard the track--what sort of moves he was thinking about, he mentioned the Charleston. Somebody tells me that the move he makes at the very end, wiping the sweat off his face and shaking his hand off, is Fred Astaire by way of Michael Jackson. Kaleb has a handful of other videos on YouTube and none of them is in this idiom, which is impressive. He tends towards robot moves; this is in the other direction.
