Hey guys, New to the board. Been reading and taking tips for a long time. I'm going to be doing some flying for some gigs in the southeast next month. I have a basic slip cover for my Special 6. I already have a flight case for my pedalboard so that will probably be checked. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to a decent case or heavy duty padded cover for a Special 6. I know there are several guys here who play these amps and seems like some of you travel more than I do for gigs, so any input would be appreciated. Thanks again for your help.

The simplest way I know of is to go to your local Goodwill or Salvation Army Thrift Store and find an appropriately sized hardshell suitcase, then get some kind of foam and either cut out a fitted section for it or simply stack blocks of the foam around it so it's secure. My bandleader does that with our mixing board.
Peavey sells a few different well-padded bags as well. One of those might fit a Special 6. I'm still trying to start piecing together a gignag type carrying case for my Kalamazoo amp along those lines. ----------
