Hi all. I haven't been around much in the last few weeks (I've been in a self-enforced dissertation-writing seclusion), but I recently discovered that video archive of Alan Lomax is being made available to the public via YouTube. Currently there are 242 video clips uploaded, with plans to upload ALL of his amassed footage of traditional American music, including a metric ton of raw down-home blues. Have a look for yourself!

Enjoy!
(now I'll go back to my dungeon and start typing again!)

Noticed that I had screwed up the html code in the link. Sorry about that, it's fixed now...
That channel really is awesome, by the way. If you love real, down home, American music, you owe it to yourself to head over there and spend an hour or two watching some of the most amazing clips of obscure-but-great musicians that you'll ever find anywhere. ----------

I agree it's a great channel. Good to get the authentic flavour -- as much as I can given time and distance...
