I had done some customization work on a couples of cheap harps before, but this is the first time that I did this on a real harp.
I use Hohner a Blues Harp, I rounded the corners, file the edge of the reedplate, do some gaping, embosing, flat sanding the comb and the reedplate, seal the comb, and put some micropore betwen the reedplate and the comb.
Before all of this work, the Blues Harp was a not a bad harp, but no a great one. Now is much moreairtight, almost no loses, and more loud.
i've customized a few MS harps and they are not bad. most of them i give away, but i have a Pro in C that for some reason i cannot part with. ---------- MP affordable reed replacement and repairs.
