ack! an me with no extra cash right now. Could replace a few of my special 20s with Harpmasters. Not that I don't like the sp20 I just prefer the harpmaster and would like to fill out the complete key set with them.

no problem Bee,
the 64s come in three flavors. the 280 64 with the same covers since LW played one (i have one, great harp).
the Super 64 with a different mouthpiece and covers but it's $100 more?( i had one and it was great but not that "Super")
now the Super 64X is a beautiful chromatic harp. smooth as silk. it is a real looker too and quite a departure from the 280 64. but..it costs twice as much as the 280 64. we are looking at $400 roughly. i think it's worth it.

I don't understand why they're going out of business when just last week our President said private sector businesses are currently doing so well. I'll be picking up a couple of MB's. Sorry to hear of yet another small business having to close.

@ Messy Ventura:
If you ask them, Harmonicas and Stuff will tell you that their biggest problems are the rising costs of inventory (which is a small part of the problem), and competition from "The Big Boys" like Guitar Center and Musician's Friend.
As long as companies like Musician's Friend continue to operate on razor-thin margins, while already having the advantage of economies of scale, we should expect to see more of these small companies going under...they just can't compete on price.
Of course, I don't disagree with your comments about Mr. Obama, I'm jus' sayin'... ---------- -Daron Stinton SUZUKI MUSIC USA Got a question about a Suzuki Harp? Call (800) 854-1594, or e-mail harmonicas@suzukicorp.com

Well...its a little odd to me too. If it was a hack, then the hacker got into their site too. Anyone notice their prices have gone back to the average internet retailers' prices? What I'm wondering is if one partner of the business decided to close, but the other had other ideas.... ----------

Hi everybody,
So, Helen from Harmonicas and Stuff just called me and confirmed that they have decided to to try and make a go of it and stay in buiness.
As she said to me, "I know this sounds crazy, but we're NOT going out of business."
So the good news: Harmonicas and Stuff will be around for a whiole longer.
The bad news: they have ended their closeout sale and returned prices to their original levels.
And to all MBH members, I seriously apologize for the confusion. I hope that some of you were able to take advantage of the sale while you could.
Hey, look at it this way...if I can save you all a few bucks, I'll pass that info along.
Again, sorry for the confusion, folks. ---------- -Daron Stinton SUZUKI MUSIC USA Got a question about a Suzuki Harp? Call (800) 854-1594, or e-mail harmonicas@suzukicorp.com

I ordered and recieved goods at the sale prices.A freindly, courteous person took my order, offered suggestions on other products I might want without undue hard sell, and provided fast delivery. I was surprised to see a cool translucent red comb on the Db Bluesmaster I recieved. I was bummed someone beat me to the Low F Promaster.
Based on my experience, I would tend to trust Daron's explanation.

I had thought that Moon Cat was the only person that had authorization from Adam to post items for sale outside of the "For Sale" thread.
If I am wrong, so be it.
If I am correct perhaps this thread should be locked and future posts by the offending parties monitored by the watchdogs on this forum who usually do a wonderful job.
