Just wanted to let the Hill Country Harmonica crowd know I'm bringing mics, cables, volume controls, Bulletizers, adapters and other assorted goodies to HCH for show and tell - and I hope not to have to carry them back with me! Special prices will be offered. I will have Ultimate 57's, 58's and 545's and 4 wood mics. One won't be done until tomorrow - but here are 3 of them. Show prices won't be disclosed until the show.
The mic on the upper right will be the jam mic for Deak's jam on Friday night, along with an Ultimate 57 - and an Ultimate 58 for vocals.

I particularly like the grill on the one on the bottom! I had a GE fan that had a grill sort of like that. At the time I broke a personal rule about buying GE products (they were dragging their heels cleaning up a local Superfund site) just because I had to have it. After the fan died I kept the grill with the idea I was going to use it for some art project. Eventually I think it made way for closet space, but I do love parallel curving lines like that. I love the color of that wood too. ---------- Nate Facebook Thread Organizer (A list of all sorts of useful threads)

Not too long ago I ordered a mic from Greg - same color scheme as the jam mic. I went with an XLR connector, and 520D element, though.

Classy stuff. Especially the lower one. Reminds me of the nicest pipe in my collection.
Speaking thereof: Greg, is pipes where you got the idea for making mics out of wood? Just wondering.
I love how a pipe colors from the most on your hands and get darker and slicker.
Shame I don't smoke no more. It is an aesthetic pleasure. Perhaps I should get a wooden mic to be able to experience that feeling in a healthy way!

Being difficult, I might have to spring for a custom grill option or laser engraving. I think the new colors will be popular enough that I'll need something unique about mine!
Oh, Greg!
It will go nice with my Ghostbusters case...the coloring of the one I ordered looks like a proton stream (and has the favorite colors of everyone in my family). ---------- Mike VHT Special 6 Mods Quicksilver Custom Harmonicas - When it needs to come from the soul...

@FreeWilly - if you order a mic with the "natural" finish - then yes - it will absorb skin oils and darken over time. You might like that indeed!
@HarpNinja - I love customizing mics for people, looking forward to building yours. ---------- /Greg
