Here's my 8th-pos composition "Totafot" performed live just recently at a club. I felt there was a good atmosphere playing this one. D# on a D harmonica.
The sound level is a bit low, but use headphones or whatever.
merhaba brother, thats sounds like a kabak kamene, is that a tanbur saz? i know i will fail but i would like to try sounding like a tanbur cumbus on a big marine band. i love mogolar and i will be adding you to my youtube favorites. gule gule :D
Great performance I think: with a diatonic I know one guy who does it, it's Wade Schuman! We already knew that music from Asia can be performed by a diatonic, now it's Middle Orient: fabulous. Now I consider the floating smoke as floating sand! Bravo, anyway!

Fantastic, as usual, J-Sin! And in addition to what Laurent says about never hearing this kind of music being played on a diatonic harmonica before, I can also honestly say that I have never heard that style of music being played by guys wearing those kind of pants before in my life! ;) ---------- == I S A A C ==
Isaac! I was trying to think of something interesting to say about the pants. I think you summed it up very nicely. :)
J-Sin, really great sounding stuff!
I wonder if I have any pictures left of me in my parachute pants... I couldn't pull them off now. In fact, I put on about 30 pounds between my Junior and Senior year in high school and I'm pretty sure after that that look was shot for me.
It's more than 30 pounds now; that was 20+ years ago!
It's interesting, we've had some threads that discussed what to wear when gigging, and I've always kind of come down on the side of keeping it casual, but I've got to admit, if I was on YouTube and this video came up in a list of harmonica related videos I might just click on it to see what was going on in it, which would mean I'd get to hear it, which means I'd get to like it. I won't go off on a tangent about how to pick a YouTube thumbnail pic, but that might make an interesting topic for another thread. It's like a concert poster. It's may be the first thing people see, before they even get to hear you play.
@J-Sin: That was very good. Would you map out the scale you were using in 8th position? I like using the 5th mode of the harmonic minor which is I,flatII,III,IV,V,Flat VI, FlatVII,VIII. Harmonic minor in F is F,G,A Flat,B Flat,C, D Flat, E,F. From the V [ 5th mode] is C,D Flat,E,F,G,A Flat,B Flat,C. I think it is called the Hajiz scale if I remember.
"and have a HUGE broner" Yeah...and if at that time you pass a girl, you get prosecuted for sexual harassment; explain the judge he doesn't understand what occured... Now I know there are dangerous clothes.
Sounded like 7 an 1/2 postion to my ear, great performance just the same. Bet that act would kill on "Americas Got Talent" had me on the edge of my seat!
