Don't rely on it too much. It's important to train your ears.

I liked the free trial period. My only reservation recommending is ideological. There is a very conscious push in the software industry to move to the subscription model. I don't believe in renting intellectual property. I'd pay $50 for Bendometer if it meant that I owned it. I might even be willing to plunk down more money for an upgrade, or for the option of tech support, but I don't have the money to pay $5 here and $10 there for recurring fees, especially if I'm not getting additional added value over time.

It's nice software, but ideologically it reminds me of absentee landlords collecting rent on properties that really should belong to us serfs once we pay for them once.

It also may have managed my microphone without me allowing it to activate my microphone (or maybe I'm being paranoid) and kept accessing the web. It may have done it in the name of user friendliness and I know lots of programs can do that now. Hackers can turn your webcams on too.

All that's me and my ideological issues. It is a very useful program.

edit: Beardharmonica- Actually I think it can be a very useful tool in training your ears.

Alternativly just use a cheapo digital guitar tuner with a Microphone setting and you can do exactly the same job for far less!

ditto to geordiebluesman. Not only that, using a chromatic tuner gets you away from the whole idea that specific notes are tied to holes, and more into thinking musically, beyond the harmonica. This is helpful in many more ways than for just getting your bends on pitch...
