Hello. 1st post by a new member. Enjoy reading your posts. Thanks.
-Does anybody know what Christelle Berthon is doing at 1:16-1:24 on her Youtube video of "Georgia On My Mind"? Actually there's a lot of this song that I can't figure out (tip of the hat to you, Christelle) but this part is particularly bugging me. I can bend and overblow but still can't get this....
-By the way, small size pistol magazine holders, available at gun shows and mail order houses, make great cheap harp holders. Perfect size, breathable, low dust/fiber, Velcro closures, belt attachment... Come in single and double sizes, cost a couple bucks and last forever.

Are the belt hangers on the mag holders like a metal clip? I have one of the Hohner belt holders, but you have to actually run your belt through the loop on it, and it's kind of a pain in the ass.

I can never figure out Christelle's playing. It's over my head. She always has great vibrato, but in that particular stretch it's particularly great. All I can suggest is play it over and over.
On the topic of harmonica holders, my brother made me a chain mail single harmonica holder. I keep bugging him to sit down with me and fine tune something like that he could sell on here. The current version catches a little on sandwich styled harmonicas, but it works beautifully on my long-bodied Seydel.

Hi and welcome.
Yes Christelles a class act and she overbends so well you can't always notice she's playing them.
I believe the section you mention goes like this:-
+5ob/+5ob^ +4ob -5 +4ob +4ob -4 +4 -4
a nice 5 overblow bent up to start with and that's tricksy stuff to sound sweet.

I already get pulled to secondary inspection at airports because my harps look like ammo clips on the Xray. If I had them in ammo pouches I might never get though the airport.

Greyowl, will try the little run.... Clearly it's way over my head. Or maybe my harmonica is just broken!!!!(ha ha)
I thought that was a 5 ob but didn't know you could bend it up.
Think I'll go back to "On top of Old Smoky", where I belong!
The magazine holders have belt loops. Will try and post pic if I can figure out how. David (by the way, kissdave is an amalgam of my name, not a suggestion or behavior).
