During a normal review of applications, a dubious-looking name/email addy came up. As I always try to do to weed out spammers, I googled it. Sure enough, linsany01@yahoo.com is a hoodia salesperson or bot. So, if any of you want to buy some hoodia, whatever the hell that is, now you know where to look.

I'm here to help.

As an 'authority site', this place is triple AAA grade for spammers and link builders.

Any inbound link or anchor text link from here will almost certainly up a website's position on Google, no matter what they're promoting.

I'm amazed you don't get more problems than you do.

If you want me to prove it, I'm happy to link my site here, just one time. I'll report back and prove the power of MBH. Heh.

We've learned a few tricks how to spot spammers. We could tell you, but then we'd have to kill you. Don't laugh, look at my 'How Dry I Am' thread to see what happened to my harmonica when it accidentally overheard our secrets. :)

(And a :( for my poor harmonica.)

even when the spammers get stopped by security, they get a thread!
i dont understand why you just dont let them in. i think the majority of people can spot a spammer by now. and know to avoid it.

The problem with spammers is...spam. If all they did was an occasional post with a link, as shows up on some other forums(DF, for example), that would be not worth the fight. But, somehow, the spammers that run the gauntlet, swim the moat, duck the flaming arrows and hot tar and actually make it into the castle walls of MBH run these bots that attack multiple threads, often ancient ones, and cause a great deal of unrest.
Therefore, we are vigilant.
