Several years ago, I built a tweed Champ clone. I ran across and old video, which I didn't think did justice to the amp, so I decided to have some fun and create some new video.

I picked up the Kendrick Champ clone about 5 years ago. One of my favorite small amps. Recently found another with a 10" speaker. It hasn't shipped yet, I have great expectations.

Nice videos Joe. The 5F1 Champ is a killer amp for harp. I'm glad you did a video with the 520DX. It proves that in the right hands this much maligned mic can sound pretty damned good.

i think the flannel shirt gave the JT-30 a sort of grungy 90s attack.
the black T did wonders for the DX. gave it a Cottonish sound...James Cotton?

@bonedog - the kit came from Marsh Amplification. Its the 5F1 Champ kit. I upgraded the speaker.
@mojokane - it was just the Champ.
