Sorry for jumping on your post dted, but it brings up a relevant point that I've been thinking about. We ought to be due for a new "for sale" thread for 2012, and I just wanted to pass some thoughts by the admins before they make the new thread. I've been thinking that it might be nice to have separate pages for pro craftsman/techs selling their wares and for players looking buy/sell used gear. The issue is that the two groups have different goals and means. The pros are maintaining a business, and so need to post lot's of large colorful ads for their wares (which is cool for us!). The players just want to sell off some excess gear, and only make occasional small posts. The problem is that when you combine the two, it makes a LOT of page turn over on the "for sale" thread, and posts have a tendency to get buried really quickly. Also, there tends to be a LOT of very large high res pics of beautiful mics and harps, which is great, but which also tends to bury smaller posts. So anyway, I'm just raising this issue in hopes the admins see it... Thoughts?

I'm with you Issac. Perhaps it makes more sense for you to make a separate post with a title about this subject so more folks will weigh in though?

What would happen when people post in the wrong one? Can the admins easily move incorrectly posted items?

@timeistight
Do you mean posting in the 2011 thread instead of the 2012? If that is the case I'm sure the 2011 thread would be locked when the 2012 begins.

No, I mean the 2012 For sale thread vs. the 2012 pro craftsman/techs marketing thread.

People will put things in the wrong thread. If you don't fix that when it happens, you'll just wind up with two 2012 For Sale threads and you won't have gained anything.

RE: Dealer vs Owner/Private sale posts. Should be easy enough to avoid by the way the threads are labeled. I wouldn't have thought it would happen often enough to become an issue.

Sure would be nice if this forum sported categories and be able to mark certain topics "Sticky" within said categories.

IMO, this forum needs to make the jump to the web 2.0 world.

"IMO, this forum needs to make the jump to the web 2.0 world."

I'm on the fence with that. Yes, converting this into a multi-section forum would be more organized. But I gotta say, I kinda like being able to see everything that's recently been posted on right up front. Makes it easier to keep track of things I've posted on. Just my 2 cents...
