Hi all. New here, glad to hop on board. Love whiskey and harmonicas, love Mississippi Delta Blues love Harleys, even love The Allman Brothers! Currently harping on a Suzuki Easy Rider, but know there's a big world out there. Would love advancing to a Seydel, but afraid not many stores such as Sam Ash or Guitar Center has support, like found for Hohners, and Suzukis. Anyway, hi to all. Hey Adam, keep up the great work with the website and being a killer on the MBs.

"Love whiskey and harmonicas"
See...now that's how you do a proper introduction!
Brief and straight to the meat of the matter. :)

Welcome, welcome.

Hey, the last verse of the Ballad of Fat Melon Woodeye goes like this:

I like wimmins and I like to eat,
I like most kinds of sausages and other meats,
I like to drink a little whiskey, drink a little more,
And drink a little more and drink a little more,
And when it's all gone I go down to the store,
And I buy me some whiskey, and I drink some more.

Man. That made me thirsty.

Welcome to the forum Whiskey! What kind of whiskey? Bourbon? Tennesee? Scotch? Irish?

And I'll second eharp on Rockin' Ron. If it's Seydel you want, he's your guy. Very true about retailers not carrying Seydel. I have yet to come across a shop that has them.

The Funny thing is that even for harps sold at my local music store (Guitar Center)which is only about a 15 minute drive from my home, I still order from Ron anyway.

@Tommy

Well how can a music store beat his prices dude? Unless it's the type of storekeeper who's willing to haggle.

HawkeyeKane - in terms of whiskey, my favs are Jim Beam Red Stag, & Jack Daniels Honey. Tried Scotch once - thought I was gonna die.

Scotch can take some getting used to, especially if it's single malt. Blended ones are a little easier to stomach for a novice scotch drinker. Try some Irish whiskey to work towards it. Jameson, Bushmills, Tullamore Dew, Michael Collins...they're all very sweet whiskeys but still have plenty of kick to them.

Try some Old Crow bourbon. Eight bucks a quart. It's a little caustic, but the label is great. You might only need one bottle. After you finish it, you can fill it up with Jack Daniels.
