Hey guys, I'm a new member here from China. Just call me Paseaf(I made a mistake when submitting -.-) . I've been playing blues harmonica for about four years. Thanks a lot to Mr. Gussow's videos on youtube, your videos helped me a lot.
It's not easy for people in China to learn about blues. Luckily, I saw Ray Charles's movie on HBO five years ago and fall in love with his music. I was 15 years old at that time, and it was the first time I heared about this kind of music. After then I knew, it's blues, the kind of music I love.
I loved Ray Charles's music so much and bought all of his albums I could find in my hometown(only a few of CD shops in China sells blues albums). I felt like taking drugs when listening to his music. After that I also enjoyed other blues albums and chose to learn blues harmonica.
My favourite harmonica players are Walter Horton, Sonny Boy Williamson II, Sonny Terry, Norton Buffalo, Adam Gussow, JJ and Charlie Musslewhite.
It's not easy for people on the mainland of China to visit youtube after 2008. I'm so excited that I finally successfully upload a video on youtube today. I'm so confused that I don't know what I need to learn after. I think my performance is lacking for some blues soul, maybe some tine skills. Could you lead me a way to exercise?

I think that there must be many super harmonica players in your country so it's good to see that someone from China finally made it here.
Don't worry about the english language. English is like the french horn. Nobody really knows how to play french horn but there are some people who can fake it.

Yeah, actually, only a few people on the mainland of China play blues on harmonica, maybe less than 100. And I can't even find a blues guitar player at school T_T . Some of my friends and I are translating some harmonica video lessons and books to make harp fans learn blues harp easier.
- -I'm so nevous when talking with real English man.

When you say you're translating harmonica lesson videos, are you over-dubbing English videos into Chinese? I would love to see Adam's vids in Chinese! ---------- Hawkeye Kane
