Hi bh. As it is a.m. here in Oz let me step in. To save time I am not going to re-read the entry conditions but I am pretty sure you don't have to make your own backing track. I don't even know how! "No rules" Get out there and blow!

Sweet thanks man! :D

EDIT AGAIN!
Does it have to be a bluesy track or can it be any style? IE Reggae, funk, jazz, rock.

@bluesharper. It's completely freestyle. Anything as long as it's got harp in it. You don't have to use a backing track at all.

Harmonica boogie has free downloads, just check the conditions, may have to ask permission but they're good guys and you shouldnt have any problems.

Can you use a chromatic or is it strictly diatonic?

I would enjoy doing it if I didn't have to have a video. Syncing the recording with the camera is a real pain and then having to load it on youtube takes way too much time. I have too many songs needing to come out. Walter

@waltertore: No need for a video! Any kind of file with audio in it is fine, as long as it's hosted somewhere where people can get at it. There are already a couple of entries with audio files only. Would love to hear what you come up with for this!

The other option a lot of people do is a slide show video, or just a video with lyrics. I had a hiccup in recording and didn't get anything done. :(

Just added a couple more entries onto the site. There was a slight error on the site countdown, entries will be closed as from midnight on the 31st Oct.

So, you have time if you are a last-minute type.

Midnight...

What time zone?

I'm still out, though...I've put it off too long - too much to do for Halloween today...

I got a video together tonight to go with a song I recorded after diner. It is probably the anti statement to blowing your brains out. I just puffed a bit :-) Walter
