The early one on lip slapping....going from 2 hole draw to 123 draw chord in a rhythm pattern while lip pursing.

I agree with Harpdude61. I think It was gussow.007 if I remember correctly (or around there anyway).

Fully agree with harpdude and kingo. That single lesson did more to improve my sound than any other. That technique is one of the cornerstones to my playing now, and I wouldn't sound any good at all without it.

Of course, I think it goes without saying that the Mississippi Front Porch Blues lesson is also one of the all-time greatest ones produced by the prodigious Dr. Gussow...

I have the first 80 or so lessons on my Ipod--I still go back to them on long drives. The Front Porch one is still my favorite--but the Harlem Blues Riff (something like that) might have had more to do with how I play harp than any of the others. This thread just reminded me--it's about time for me to go back and review those early ones--every time I do that, I pick up more great stuff that I missed last time--or learned and forgot. . .

Every video in which he says 'let me break this down for ya', lol.

Seriously, I owe quite a bit to Adam's videos I doubt Id be on the musicians trail if I never found them while searching Google for best ways to destroy a harmonica due to frustration, lol (mostly kidding)!

About a month ago I bought the complete set from tradebit & have been rewatching them. Quite probably the best harmonica playing instructor on youtube, imo. So many other guys aren't nearly as clear on the 'how tos' & are doing more showing off then anything else.

I need to go back and listen to them from the beginning... I remember Brian Purdy being the 1st to subscribe and posting on Harp-L about Adam's YouTube videos... I think I was the 2nd one to subscribe.

So much stuff to learn and re-learn... even after 33+ years of learning...
